Operations staff services analyst (General). (Use additional sheet if necessary). duties ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS. 35% Serves as the central analyst for Legal services and Operations by providing analytical support and administrative coverage. Reviews incoming correspondence, telephone inquiries and meeting requests for priority and complexity/sensitivity.

3 Performs initial intake of requests for legal services in the case management system(s). Reviews and tracks legal services requests to provide the Assistant General Counsel updates on the workload of attorneys to analyze assignments, time frames and workload issues. Researches customer services requests. Maintains the legal services email account by reviewing inquiries and responding accordingly. Greets and directs visitors to appropriate staff . 35% Works with legal staff on analytical work, such as: researching, analyzing, drafting, formatting and proofreading correspondences and legal documents in accordance with legal departmental procedures, Office of Administrative Law policies/procedures, and in accordance with the style manual.

4 Maintains the docket and case management system(s) related to pending legal matters. Assists in the coordination of administrative hearings. Assists in the scheduling of appearances of witnesses, doctors and other subject matter experts. Provides support on sensitive matters, including coordinating, tracking and analyzing requests from outside counsel and internal investment officers and managers. Receives, tracks, and distributes multiple legal documents within short deadlines. Performs administrative research activities, including filing, storage and retrieval of documents and information.

5 Responsible for identifying and recommending potential administrative office and system improvements. 15% Coordinates weekly staff meetings. Assists with the preparation of travel plans to provide updates to legal and telephone conferences as needed. Develops and maintains internal office procedures as they pertain to Travel, BusinessDirect and training activities to be used division-wide for assistance. Reviews, analyzes, and inputs training requests into the Business Direct system for procurement and processing of payment after assessing the budgetary impact.

6 10% Provides back up assistance to legal analysts and to the administrative assistant to the General Counsel as needed. Assists in preparation of Board materials for meetings of the Teachers' Retirement Board and its committees, including miscellaneous office support filing, processing faxes, overnight mailings, and bate stamping.
