Livestock Weighted Average Report for 3/18/2022 - Final AUCTION. This Week Last Reported Last Year 3/11/2022. Total Receipts: 1,224 3,147 801. Feeder Cattle: 598( ) 2,897( ) 248( ). Slaughter Cattle: 320( ) 250( ) 226( ). Replacement Cattle: 306( ) 0( ) 327( ). Compared to last week, Friday's auction was a special bred cow sale with very few comparisons of feeder cattle especially on quality to compare with last week's large offering.

2 Feeders sold in mostly small groups, bunches and singles. Replacement cows included a couple of consignments of 1st calf heifer pairs and several small consignments of young bred cows in the 3rd stage all selling with good demand. Slaughter cows sold firm to higher on a nice offering with slaughter steers and heifers sold higher. Supply included: 49% Feeder Cattle (52% Steers, 29% Heifers, 19% Bulls); 26% Slaughter Cattle (9% Steers, 12% Heifers, 69% Cows, 10% Bulls); 25% Replacement Cattle (34% Bred Cows, 38% Cow-Calf Pairs, 28% Heifer Pairs).
