Ecocat HD-VOC Catalysts Industrial emissions are classified as those emanating from industrial processes during the manufacturing process Industrial Emissions With 20 years of experience in the manufacturing of cataly c products, Ecocat is at the front line of technology for the abatement of vola le organic compounds emana ng from industrial processes. Vola le organic compounds are chemicals that are used and produced in the manufacture of paints, adhesives, petroleum products, pharmaceu cals, and refrigerants among others. They o en are compounds of fuels, solvents, hydraulic fluids, paint thinners, and dry-cleaning agents commonly used in urban se#ngs. Metallic coated foils for the treatment of VOC emissions. Ecocat has manufactured metallic coated foils for cataly c applica ons for over 20 years. This technology has evolved constantly, allowing for the modifica on of the chemical coa ngs to cater to the VOC markets.
The combina on of metallic structures and advanced coa ngs allows Ecocat to offer a high quality product designed to cope with the demands of the manufacturing industry in the abatement of hazardous pollutants Metallic substrates possesses several advantages as carriers of cataly c material since they are able to distribute heat in a uniform way, have a high degree of mechanical resistance and allow for flexibility when it comes to design. The con nuous involvement of our R&D department means Ecocat catalyst are designed to have high conversions and ageing resistance even in the presence of halogenated hydrocarbons Our products format allow them to be used in various designs, whether as coated foils for post winding substrates or as ready monoliths of both round and square shapes. Metallic substrates have several advantages: High thermal conduc vity Mechanical strength Flexibility in design Among the different types of coated foils, Ecocat offers two main op ons: The OFC type of coil and the EcoXcell type.
OFC foils are corrugated at different heights which allows for very low backpressure once the structure is rolled into the final catalyst unit. The EcoXcell foils are corrugated at different angle so as to have mixer proper es when stacked or rolled into the final substrate shape. Versa le Components The stainless steel foils u lized in our products are available in a wide range of cell densi es from 25 to 1250 cpsi, foil widths 74,5; 90, 120, 150 and 180 mm, foil thickness available between 50 to 100 micron and varied composi ons. With this por<olio of tools Ecocat is able to meet any requirement when it comes to the type of structure our customer needs The use of metallic foils and different corruga on angles allows for the manufacturing of substrates with either straight channels for low pressure drop or angled channels for increased turbulence and mixing proper es. Ecocat is Versatility Advanced PGM based chemical coa ngs, able to oxidize a wide range of compounds including halogenated hydrocarbons.
Coated metallic foils that can be wound up to make round substrates or stacked to make square shape mon-oliths. Ecocat VOC & C-VOC Catalysts To complement the advantages of metallic foils, Ecocat has developed advanced chemical coa ngs that can be applied ether by spray coa ng or by dip coa ng onto pretreated foils or ready assembled monoliths. The chemistry developed for VOC applica ons is PGM based and it targets a wide variety of vola le hydrocarbons while the C-VOC chemistry targets the oxida on of halogenated hydrocarbons which are usually a poison for the more tradi onal washcoats. Ecocat C-VOC coa ngs contains special addi ves aimed at reaching high conversions while protec ng the PGM from halogena on reac ons Combina ons of Pt and Pd as well as Pt-only formula ons with or without addi ves at different PGM loadings allow for the selec on of the most adequate package for each case Performance Ecocat VOC & C_VOC catalyst are high quality products designed to reach op mal conversion levels at lower temperatures while resis ng ageing.
The chart shows the conversion performance of several coa ngs in the cataly c oxida on of dichloromethane, illustra ng at the same me how important it is to u lize the correct formula on for the emission in ques on. Catalyzed VOC units allow for the oxida on of VOC s at lower temperatures bringing a cost efficient edge to applica ons where a low energy consump on is needed Selec ng the right coa ng is cri cal in order to reach the highest possible conversions at the lowest possible tem-peratures. Ecocat s wide selec on of coa ngs for VOC ap-plica ons ensure the best coa ng is always available, whether the target is a halogenated hydrocarbon or a non-halogenated compound.
