1 The Toro EdgeSeries represents the next generation of cutting quality and durability, with enhanced cutting edge retention. In addition to new reel material, the EdgeSeries incorporates a new reel geometry design, and changes in the manufacturing process that result in a more accurate cut. The innovative design and manufacturing changes to the reel and bedknife provide a better after-cut appearance and a reduction in required maintenance. The EdgeSeries provides multiple benefits that require less labor to maintain the reel and bedknife, and leave your greens and fairways looking their absolute reel Blade Material Advanced material reduces abrasive wear in the EdgeSeries , which leads to longer edge retention, resulting in fewer reel -to-bedknife adjustments and less Geometry Improvements to reel helix (blade twist) Crisper and cleaner cut, with better grass collection Change to the bedknife topgrind angle resulting in a smaller land area between the reel and bedknife Maintains the cutting edge longer Less power required Change in the reel blade rake angle Better edge retention and cleaner cut Improved Manufacturing Process Incorporating changes in the manufacturing process produces more consistant reel dimensions, resulting in improved reel -to-bedknife contact across the width of the reel .

Low-drag Seals & Low-friction Bearings Before, EdgeSeries was only available on select cutting units models, but now it is standard on all Greensmaster DPA cutting units and all fairway cutting units that utilize the low-drag seals and low-friction bearings.
