Writs.] By for Richard Sifrewas, the elder, to enfeoff Richard Sifrewas, theyounger, of the manor of Cleware, co. Berks, held in fine of 5 to John de Bermyngham, earl of Loueth, justiciary ofIreland, to cause to come before him the records and processes of allassizes and pleas held before Roger de Mortuo Mari of Wygemor, whilehe was the king's lieutenant in Ireland, and to correct the errors thereinaccording to law and the customs of those parts, with mandate to thechancellor and other ministers of the king to obey him therein.

2 Manypersons having made complaint that they are unable as well on account ofthe distance and many dangers as of their impotency and poverty to suethem before the king within the realm, as it has hitherto been usual to doin the case of errors made before the justiciary of Ireland. By to R. bishop of Salisbury of the royal assent to the electionof Constance de Percy, a nun of the house of Wylton, to be abbess. By to R. bishop of Bath and Wells, of the revocation ofthe presentation of William de Kyrkeby to the church of Cheddeseyein the diocese of Bath and Wells, in the king's gift by reason of hiscustody of the land and heir of William de Monte Acuto, tenant inchief ; as it appears that Walkelin de Esshemerbrok, king's clerk, the rectorthereof, is still to the said Walkelin that he be not molested therein by reason ofany right the king may have because of his custody of the said land andheir.

3 By for Master Gilbert de Middelton, king's clerk, archdeacon ofNorthampton, and all his benefices ; he is not to be molested in thepossession of that archdeaconry in the church of Lincoln, or ofthe following prebends by reason of any right the king may have becauseof past voidauces of the sees wherein they are, viz. the prebend ofThame in the church of Lincoln, the prebend of Wallokeburn in thechurch of St.

4 Paul, London, the prebend of Netherhavene in the church ofSt. Mary, Salisbury, the prebend of Sutton in the church of Chichestcr,the prebend of Henxstrigge in the church of Wells, the prebend of Henytonin the church of Hereford, a prebendal portion in the church of Ledeburyin the diocese of Hereford, and the prebendal church of Edyndon in theconventual church of Romeseye. By to William Daudri for the death of Peter with clause volume until Easter for John de Haudlo goingbeyond the seas on the king's service.
