1 RKCL'SERA Revolution For AllERA for Prerequisites Install ERA PrerequisiteInstall ERA FrameworkERA QuasiOES Prerequisite InstallationERA QuasiOES InstallationERA Framework ActivationERA Course LoadingStart Learning in ERA INSTALLATION>SERVERPREREQUISITES Please Ensure the Following before Installation That the server machine in your computer lab is being used to install RKCL s ERA (Physical server machine) Operating system should be either Win XP with SP 3with IIS version or Higher or Windows Server 2003with SP 2 IIS version or Higher Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express R2 Microsoft .NET Framework That the C drive (Root Drive) is having minimum 15 GB free space as per the recommended hardware setup.

2 Free space required for loading a course depends on the actual size of the course INSTALLATION>SERVERPREREQUISITES Please Ensure the Following before Installation That the server machine is connected to Internet for Framework Activation and Learner Data Downloading. That you are Installing ERA from a login which has the Administrative privileges. That you have Flash Player installed on the machines in order to view the eContent properlyERA INSTALLATION>SERVERPREREQUISITES Please Ensure the Following before Installation That you are Installing ERA by keeping the installer CD/DVD in the respective drive of the server machine itself. That you have Internet Information Service (IIS) version or higherinstalled on the server machine.

3 IIS installation needs the respective Operating System installation CDERA INSTALLATION> CLIENTPREREQUISITES Please Ensure the Following before Installation of QOES client Operating system should be either Windows XP with SP3 OR Windows Server 2003 with SP2 OR Windows Vista SP1 or later Microsoft .NET Framework IIS or later Windows Installer Windows Installer Report viewer 10 Crystal Report Internet Explorer version with SP1 or laterIF Crystal Report, Report Viewer 10 and .NET is not installed on a client machine. Learners will not be able to solve IPT s & Try IT on that client FRAMEWORKINSTALLATION require software showing and click setup/Auto setup option showing in RKCL Auto Installer Window ERA PREREQUISITE INSTALLATION Following pre-requisites will get installed from ERA Framework Installation CD.

4 NET Framework Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 express Click on Accept button when the two adjacent window appears to continue the PREREQUISITE INSTALLATION If .NET Framework is not installed earlier in your machine, then installer will start the installation of .NET Framework If .NET is already Installed on your system, the installer will then directly proceed to Install SQL Server 2008 R2 ExpressERA PREREQUISITE INSTALLATION For SQL Server 2008 R2 Express adjacent screens will appear The process will continue automaticallyERA PREREQUISITE INSTALLATION Please be patient as SQL Server Installation will take 30-45 mins. Adjacent screen will appear before you while installation is in processERA FRAMEWORK INSTALLATION Click on Next button to continue the installation of ERA FRAMEWORK INSTALLATION Once all the prerequisites are over, the installation of ERA will start & following screen will FRAMEWORK INSTALLATION While ERA 4 Framework is getting installed, you will be asked to specify for Drive Network Mapping as shown below.

5 This is the path where your ERA 4 Backup will be stored, so do not skip this the Drive letter & then specify a shared folder in your server or any other system in the LAN where you wish to store the backup filesERA FRAMEWORK INSTALLATION After ERA 4 Framework Installation is over following screens for copying Dummy Course Content will appear before FRAMEWORK INSTALLATION After ERA 4 Framework Installation is over following completion screen will appear before QOES PREREQUISITE INSTALLATION After ERA 4 Framework Installation is over , the Installer will ask for Installation of ERA QOES Prerequisite as shown belowClick Here to continue with Prerequisite Installation of QOESERA QOES PREREQUISITE INSTALLATION Installation of SQL Server 2008 R2 for ERA QOES will start and following screen will QOES PREREQUISITE INSTALLATION After all the Prerequisite for QOES are Installed following message will OK to continueClick on Install application to Proceed furtherERA QOES PREREQUISITE INSTALLATION The application for ERA QOES will be installed on your system.

6 After the application is installed, a confirmation message as shown will be displayedERA QOES PREREQUISITE INSTALLATION Click on finish button to complete the installation. After you click on finish button, all the Installation process is over and your next step will be the activation of ERA frameworkERA FRAMEWORK ACTIVATION Use the icon present on the Desktop for accessing the Learning Facilitator Login Or open the Learning facilitator login from Start >> Programs >> ERA 4 >> ERA 3 Learning Facilitator Click on Activate button to start activation process. Click on Shortcut icon on desktopERA FRAMEWORK ACTIVATION Make sure that your are connected to internet while doing activation.

7 A message of successful activation shall be displayed if the Activation Key entered is correct. Now you are ready to enter into the eLearning world! LF Login URL for ERA is http://servername/ERA4 for Learner Login http://servername/ERA4 FRAMEWORK ACTIVATION Make sure that your are connected to internet Internet connectivity is required while activationERA FRAMEWORK ACTIVATIONE nter your Center Code and SOLAR PasswordClick HereClick HereERA FRAMEWORK ACTIVATIONA fter successful Activation following message will comeEnter your Center Code and SOLAR Password to login as Learning FacilitatorERA COURSELOADINGERA COURSELOADING Once the ERA Framework is activated you can load the course contents.

8 Be ready with course COURSELOADING Insert course CD/DVD in CD/DVD drive of your server machine on which ERA framework is installed. The setup shall run automaticallyERA COURSELOADING In case there is insufficient space on the drive to load the course, a message prompt shall be displayed. Please make provision for free space. ONCETHEERA SERVERANDCLIENTAPPLICATIONISINSTALLED. YOUAREREADYTOUSEERA ERA UNINSTALLATION PROCESSERA UNINSTALLATION In case you need to Uninstall only ERA framework you can uninstall it from the following path Control Panel Addor Remove Programs ERA 4 ERA UNINSTALLATION In case you need to Uninstall ERA as well as its prerequisites you can uninstall it from the following path Control Panel Addor Remove Programs ERA 4 Control Panel Addor Remove Programs Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 ERA UNINSTALLATION If you remove the Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 following screen will appearClick Here to remove Microsoft SQL Sever 2008 R2 ERA UNINSTALLATIONC lick on OK button to continueERA

9 UNINSTALLATIONC lick on the Next button to continueClick on the respective component you want to Uninstall( You can Uninstall either ERA 4 or ERAQOES4 SQL server at a time)ERA UNINSTALLATIONS elect first two check boxes onlyClick on the Next button to continueERA UNINSTALLATIONU ninstall process will take about 30-45 minsERA UNINSTALLATIONC lick on the Next button to continueERA UNINSTALLATIONC lick on the Remove button to continueERA UNINSTALLATIONOnce the Uninstallation in complete a message will be displayed as shownERA UNINSTALLATION Once you have removed the Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 for either ERA 4 or ERAQOES, you again have to proceed in the similar manner as above for Uninstalling the SQL Server for either of the applicationWISHYOUHAPPYLEARNINGWITHERA
