3 Followed by individual circuits for each electricalsystem on the DistributionThe Power Distribution diagram shows the connections from thebattery to the engine and passenger compartment fuse boxes. It alsoshows the internal circuitry of the fuse fuse box details are followed by a Headers and Splices section outlining the way in which internal harness splices andheader joints distribute power in the harnesses. This informationshould be used during diagnosis of Electrical faults to check forsymptoms in associated circuits and narrow down the search and splicesHeader and splice tables present the joint(s) and wiring up to thefirst component.

4 Splices are identified by a number with analphabetical prefix and the wire color. This identification is shownin the heading of each AttributesAdditional information (separated by a , ) is shown alongside thewire color: Wire gauge - the cross-sectional area of the wire in squaremillimetres. This is included to help you select the correctwire during harness repair. Wire length (Power & Ground Distribution only) - thelength of the wire in millimetres. This can be used to locateinternal harness splices; look for the shortest wire betweenthe joint and connector. For example, it can be seen thatC574-4 is 150mm from joint joints are identified by their corresponding connectornumber with a numbered suffix to indicate the pin-out detail of thewire, C289-1 identifies connector 289, pin number insulation color is identified in the normal way.

5 Where wireshave a predominant color with a secondary color stripe, the maincolor is identified first, LGS - Light Green with a Slate DistributionThe ground distribution section comprises a number of Headersand Splices tables. These are used in a similar manner to those inPower Distribution; to narrow the search area by checking for faultsymptoms in associated TypesThis means the wire connects to another cup and ball symbol indicates the male and female halves ofthe Plug on lead (fly lead), wired directly to the Connector plugs directly into name, or a description of the component is shown. A dottedoutline indicates that the component is not shown in its PointsGround points are identified with an eyelet symbol and a connectornumber, except where components are grounded through theirfixings, when only the eyelet is and DiodesFusible links (A) and current rated fuses (B), are identified direction of the arrow in a Diode symbol (C) indicates thedirection of current flow.
