2 8 IDC-10 Readiness Assessment Client Administrator Guide Copyright 2001 2011 Elsevier | Performance Manager | All rights reserved. 1 Revised 8/3/2011 Administrative Overview The ICD-10 Readiness Assessment tool provides your learners with an opportunity to determine their readiness for the migration to ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding systems. Each of your learners begins the assessment process by registering for access to the ICD-10 Readiness Assessment Tool. Upon completion of the registration process learners can then access the tool and take the assessment. After completing the assessment learners are given the opportunity to review their assessment results.

3 The tool also provides the learners with a list of suggested lessons based upon their incorrect answers. Note: For additional information on learner assessment functionality see the ICD-10 Learner Guide. As an administrator of the ICD-10 Readiness Assessment Tool you have additional privileges beyond those of an individual learner . For example, you have the ability to view the assessment results for individual learners . These results include all the question data and the recommended training. In addition, you can generate custom summary reports of assessment results. These summary reports can be generated for a specific curriculum or question category.

4 Similarly, a summary report containing the results for all questions can be generated. Note: If there are learners that completed the original version of the Readiness Assessment, you can access the same reports for the old version by selecting ICD-10 Readiness Assessment Archived. You can access the ICD-10 Readiness Assessment Tool s administrative functionality by clicking on the following links under the Admin section: List of Users Allows you to access assessment results for individual learners . Question Results Allows you to access a printable summary report listing each question with the possible answers. The report also shows the number of responses for each answer and the category for each question.

5 Assessment Results Sortable Allows you to access a printable summary report containing multiple filters. These filters will allow you to generate a variety of reports. You can generate reports based upon curriculum or question category. Similarly, you can generate a summary report containing the results for all assessment questions. Lookup learners Steps Display 1.

6 Click Admin link in the Content Navigation section. 2. Click the List of Users link. The LIST OF USERS screen displays. 3. Choose your organization s name from the Select Client menu selections. 4. Do one of the following to locate the learner s name. Click on the letter link that corresponds to the first letter of the learner s last name. Click the All link to a display a listing of all learners . Locate the learner using the steps in the Lookup Learner section. 2. Click the Details link to the right of the name of the learner whose assessment(s) you want to view. The ASSESSMENTS COMPLETED BY THE LEARNER page displays. 3. Click the name of the assessment you want to view. Note: Each assessment is listed according to the date of completion.

The ASSESSMENT RESULTS screen contains the following sections: The top of the page displays the total incorrect and correct answers by category. The middle of the page displays the assessment question and the learner s answer. Use the window s scroll bar on the right to view all answers. The bottom of the screen displays the learner s suggested lessons based upon their incorrect assessment answers. Use the window s scroll bar on the right to view all recommended training.
