Page 1 of 3 Employee Benefits Section The Employee Benefits Section displays for an Employee who is given the appropriate access rights by the administrator. The Employee Benefits Section displays the type of Benefits being tracked for the Employee and the number of hours in each category as shown below (for example, Initial, Granted). Paychex time and Labor online calculates available Benefits and resets once a year. The date on which the Benefits start over is the Reset Date. The settings for benefit accruals define the automatic summation of benefit time (for example, Personal, Sick, Vacation) for the current Employee . Column Description Column 1 List of your Benefit Pay Types (for example, Personal, Sick, Vacation) Initial Displays your starting number of hours for a specific pay type Granted Number of hours given to you for this pay type Note: This number can be different than the Accrued number for employees who accrue time within a timeframe different than the timeframe in which the hours are granted.
2 Used Number of hours you have taken for this pay type Balance Number of hours available for a specified pay type. (Calculated by: [Initial + Granted) Used = Balance) Note: When Benefits are administered by the Paychex Preview payroll application, the Initial, Granted, and Used columns are replaced with Current Balance, Approved, and Available Balance. Additionally, the Benefit types are not linked. The Current Balance is updated as payroll updates occur from Preview. Field Description Current Balance The current balance is fed to TLO from Preview. Approved All the time approved for the current pay period or in the future. Any time off added manually for the current pay period or a future pay period by the supervisor. (For example, Personal) Note: When Benefits are administered by the Paychex Preview payroll application, the Initial, Granted, and Used columns are replaced with Current Balance, Approved, and Available Balance. Additionally, the Benefit types are not linked. The Current Balance is updated as payroll updates occur from Preview. No matter which Benefit is selected, the system displays the Detailed Benefits Section . The following table contains descriptions of all columns not previously mentioned.
