1 FirstEnergy s Ohio Utilities Rebate Requirements Applicant must be an Ohio residential customer of Ohio Edison, The Illuminating Company, or Toledo Edison, FirstEnergy s Ohio utilities. Rebate applications are valid for qualified Appliances purchased between January 1, 2017, and December 31, 2019. rebate application must be submitted within 90 days of purchase and be postmarked by January 7, 2020. rebate application with valid customer account number must be accompanied by a legible copy of the paid itemized sales receipt showing proof of purchase that includes manufacturer, model number, store/contractor name, purchase price, and date of purchase.
