5 EUMC has many medical items available at NO cost. 5 Adult Sunday School Classes Some classes are meeting on site with safety guidelines and some are meeting online. 6 Friends Class The Friends Adult Sunday School class will start meeting again! This is a class for adults with special needs and will be led by Donna Crowley and Debbie Blackwell. We will start on Sunday, August 14 from 11:00 12:00, in Room 102. We are very excited about this important ministry relaunching. Please call Joyce in the Church office if you have any questions, 941-474-5588 ext. 261 Walk to Emmaus Sponsorship If you have taken your Walk to Emmaus Journey, it is time to sponsor a Pilgrim! Please pray for God to send names of potential pilgrims, explain to them what the Walk to Emmaus is and share your experience with them.

7 Please have the pilgrim visit to fill out the online Pilgrim Registration form to attend the Fall Walk being September 8-11 for MEN and September 15-18 for WOMEN at DaySpring Episcopal Conference Center in El-lenton. The cost is $225 which covers lodging and food. All sponsors need to complete sponsorship forms which are availa-ble online. Registration deadline is tomorrow, August 8th. 6 Welcome to Pastor Dan & Shani Prine Get-To-Know-You Get-Togethers! We will have a number of small get-togethers with Pastor Dan and Shani where you will learn a little about them and you will get the chance to share a little about yourself.

8 Call the Church office or sign up in Fellowship Hall between Sunday services. Each Get-Together will last about 1 1/2 hours with light refreshments served in the parlor/room 101. More Get-Togethers may be added later. Kids Needs Kids Needs is looking for closet volunteers to assist our families one Saturday morning per month from August-May. Hours are 9:45-noon. Interested adults, please go to and complete the online volunteer application.

9 Grief Share Classes will begin on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12th at 3:00pm The classes will be once a week on Mondays. If you wish to take the classes please contact the Church office 941-474-5588. Some people may want to take the classes again or finish up some they may have missed. 7 Englewood UMC will be hosting Family Promise in September. The dates are Sunday, September 18th to Sunday, September 25th, 2022. We would love to have you volunteer with us. We have opportunities on the following committees: 1) Hosting (evening and overnight) 2) Set-up/Take-down 3) Linen 4) Cuisine team It takes approximately 7-10 volunteers a day for 7 days.

10 Some days will take more than that. It takes over 80 volunteers for the week to make this run smoothly. Watch the bulletin for more details. If you would like more information please contact Jennifer or Greg Sabo as soon as possible. If you have not done so, you will have to complete volunteer training through Family Promise and a background check through the Church . The background check is because we work with children.
