Eliminate all employee injuries by making the workplace free fromhazards and unsafe conditions. Drive pollutants in manufacturing processes to the lowest achievablelevels. Conserve natural resources in the design, manufacture, use anddisposal of products and delivery of services. Establish Safety and environmental protection standards that complywith local laws, Lockheed Martin Corporate requirements and gobeyond, when necessary, to achieve the goals of this policy.

7 The pre-qualification process will identifycontractors, vendors and service providers who have effectiveEnvironment, Health and Safety (ESH) programs with demonstratedleadership and performance in their industry. Refer to the Prequalification section of this guidebook. Sikorsky Aircraft reserves the right to verify that the contractor andall of the contractor s employees meet contractual requirements,including orientation, training, medical testing and substance abusescreening. The contractor ESH Program at Sikorsky Aircraft is administered inEnglish. The program includes this contractor Handbook, onlinecomputer training, and a Contract Coordinator who will provideproject management and supervision. contractor employees who will be issued a picture badge or act in asupervisory role in the performance of their duties must firstcomplete Sikorsky Aircraft ESH Online ESH Training, Level III.

8 Thistraining covers the requirements in this handbook, and includes atest to verify comprehension. Information on how to take this trainingis available from ESH, your contractor Coordinator or EmergencyServices. All contractors must communicate in English with the level ofproficiency necessary to ensure the Safety of their employees andthe Safety of others. contractor activities and performance will be audited and evaluatedthrough the contractor ESH Progressive Improvement Plan toensure ongoing compliance with Sikorsky Aircraft policies,procedures and requirements, and to achieve a successful andinjury-free workplace. contractor employees may be required to sign a contractorverification card or the Safety training card supplied by SecurityServices, the job coordinator and/or ESH.

Report all injuries, spills and near hits immediately to your ContractorCoordinator. Conduct routine inspections of work areas to ensure compliance withthe requirements of this guide.
