1 EXTRAORDINARY PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITYNo. 636, CUTTACK, THURSDAY, APRIL 30, 2015/BAISAKHA 10, 1937 LABOUR & DEPARTMENTNOTIFICATIONThe 30th April, No. 150/2015 The following proposals which the State Governmentpropose to make in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (1) ofSection 3 read with Section 4 and sub-section (2) of Section 5 of the Minimum Wages Act,1948 (11 of 1948) and in supersession of all previous notifications issued in this regard, forfixing / revising the minimum rates of wages as specified in Column (4) of the Schedulehereto annexed payable to the categories of employees as mentioned in Column (3)
2 Thereof, who are employed in the employments as specified in Column (2) of the saidSchedule, for the whole State of Odisha, are hereby PUBLISHED as required by clause (b) ofsub-section (1) of Section 5 of the said Act, for information of all persons likely to beaffected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said proposal shall be taken intoconsideration on or after the expiry of a period of two months from the date of publicationof this notification in theOdisha Gazette. The revised minimum rates of wages shall consist of the basic rates of wages asset out in Column (4) of the said Schedule and payable to the categories of employees asmentioned in Column (3) thereof.
3 In addition to the said rates of wages a special allowancewhich shall be payable at the rate of Rs. (Rupees two and paise fifty) only per day on50 point rise of all India Consumer Price Index Number (Base 2001-100) for industrialworkers PUBLISHED by the Labour Bureau, Shimla, Ministry of Labour or on expiry of blockperiod of two years of coming into force of notification of revised rates of wages, whichever is earlier, as may be notified by the Labour Commissioner, Odisha in theOdisha Gazette and the same shall be uniformly applicable to the categories of employeesas specified in Column (3) of the said Schedule.
4 Any representation containing objection or suggestion which may be received bythe Principal Secretary to Government, Labour & Department, Odisha,Bhubaneswar-751001 from any person in respect of the said proposal before expiry of theperiod specified above will be considered by the State of the EmploymentCategories ofEmployeesProposedminimum rates ofwages per day(1)(2)(3)(4)1.
