The resource centers (Writing Center, Math Lab, and Learning As- sistance Center) are available to support your success. I encourage you to visit the resource centers and take advantage of the many workshops they have to offer. Please visit a counselor to develop or update your Educational Plan. This is your map to guide you on the route to transfer, a career cer- tificate, or specialized skills. If you come from a local high school, perhaps you have already taken some of our college-credit cours- es on your own campus.

3 I can't stress enough that you must take charge of your education and plan ahead. East is home to a variety of arts programs located in the Performing and Fine Arts Center. It is extraordinary that we have an on-campus museum housing a permanent collection of fine art. The Vincent Price Art Gallery has had a presence on campus for more than 50. years. In the Theatre Department, the campus has two stages and a black box to host a robust schedule of recitals as well as theatre performances by your fellow students and faculty. I encourage you take an opportunity to walk through the Vincent Price Art Gallery or visit one of the many music, dance or theatre performances.
