7 At its AGM on 4th June, FERNHURST Youth Club officers reported on a good from one-off expenditures, the Club paid its way and its 2 Youth Leaders,Donna Laycock and Stacey Allen, grew the memberships of both Junior andSenior Clubs, which meet on a Tuesday evening. And the Club owns outright thebuilding and land on which it sits near the centre of the village. So all wouldappear to be well with the Youth Club, then? So far, Yes , but there is a realproblem just round the corner, which could put the club's very survival in hazardin her Chairman's Report to the AGM, Jenifer Mitchell gave the good news thatSecretary Elsie Waitt was now out of The Royal Surrey, but still , like Treasurer John Sanderson and she, herself, were now in their decades in their posts, all three wanted to retire from them and, havinglooked for some time in vain for replacements, they felt the only sensible coursenow was to give notice that they would be stepping down by the end of would alert all village organisations who might be able to find preferablyyounger volunteers with IT skills as replacements for the Chair, the Secretary andthe Treasurer of the Management Committee, while continuing their conclusion.

FERNHURST enjoyed the best Revels it has ever had. Visitors camefrom across the south, many for the first time, having heard of its good reputationand were not disappointedIt cost nearly 3000 to stage the Revels - the unseen expenses of first aid,insurance, hire fees and the cost of entertainment such as The Falcons, Band,Punch & Judy, Reptiles and others.
9 This all adds up to a wonderful free dayunlike others that charge for hope you enjoyed it all but if there is something different you would like tosee please let us know. It is your day and it is your contributions that help us tofund it. Bottles, Cakes, Silent Auction Lots, Tombola and Bric-a-Brac all help toproduce the profit that the Revels Committee give back to the village. This yearwe hope to give out around 4, not volunteer to help next year. 10 @FernhurstTTC4 FERNHURST News July/Aug 2018 Hort soc the Revels are now no more than a distant memory this Newsmust begin with a very big THANK YOU to everyone who contributedto our Revels plant stall - not only to those who brought the lovely plantsto be sold but also to all our generous customers, and to our members whoset up and manned the stall. Thanks to them and to the glorious weatherthe proceeds set a fantastic record at which undoubtedly willstand for a long time to details of our two outings scheduled for the summer were given lastmonth - Sissinghurst Castle Gardens on Wednesday 1st August and aguided tour of West Dean Gardens on Wednesday 22nd August.
