FLO-GROUT 1 - Don Construction

TECHNICAL DATA SHEET PUBLISHED OCTOBER 2015 FLO-GROUT 1 General purpose cementitious groutPRODUCT FEATURESFlo- grout 1 is a single pack, high strength, non-shrink, cementitious 1 consists of a blend of modified special cements and fine graded aggregates. It is free from corrosive substances and 1 has excellent flow properties and has a positive expansion during setting. It is designed for gap widths of 10 100mm, but may be bulked out for wider expansion and strength properties of FLO-GROUT 1 make it ideal for the assembly grouting of machine beds, tracks, crane rails and transformers. The material is also suitable for grouting of stanchion bases, struts, railings and guardrail assembliesMATERIALS SUPPLIED25 kg paper from frost and store under dry warehouse conditions at a temperature between 10 C and 30 stored as above, and used within 6 months of the date shown on the packaging, the activity of the reducing agent added will be maintained and the mixed product will contain no more than (2ppm) soluble chromium (VI) on the total dry weight of the LIFE12 months in unopened bags and stored under goo

1 TECHNICAL DATA SHEET PUBLISHED OCTOBER 2015 FLO-GROUT 1 General purpose cementitious groutPRODUCT FEATURESFlo- grout 1 is a single pack, high strength, non-shrink, cementitious 1 consists of a blend of modified special cements and fine graded aggregates. The material is also suitable for grouting of stanchion bases, struts, railings and guardrail assembliesMATERIALS SUPPLIED25 kg paper from frost and store under dry warehouse conditions at a temperature between 10 C and 30 stored as above, and used within 6 months of the date shown on the packaging, the activity of the reducing agent added will be maintained and the mixed product will contain no more than (2ppm) soluble chromium (VI) on the total dry weight of the LIFE12 months in unopened bags and stored under good 25 kg bag using litres of clean water will yield approx.

3 However, because we have no control over where and how products are applied, we cannot accept any liability arising from the use of the INSTRUCTIONSSURFACE PREPARATIONThe substrate should be sound, clean and free from contamination. Concrete and steel surfaces should be mechanically etched to ensure good bonding. Removable metal shims should be lightly coated with suitable release oil or the concrete surface with clean water for a minimum of 4 hours before grouting. All surplus water must be removed before following water additions should be used depending on the required consistency:Flowable: litres per 25 kg bagFluid: litres per 25 kg bag1 - 2 bags of material should be slowly added to the measured quantity of water whilst mixing using a slow speed drill and power whisk.

4 Mix for 3 - 5 minutes. Allow to stand for 1 minute before use. Larger quantities should be mixed using a high shear mixer. Do not mix more material than can be used in 30 minutes. Do not use colloidal type 1 can be applied normally at temperatures between 5 C and 35 concreting practice with regard to placing at low and high temperatures should be observed. For machine base plate grouting, ensure that all bolt pockets are fixed before grouting between substrate and grout flow is essential. Sufficient material must be available to ensure continuity of the operation. Pouring should be from one side of the base plate to eliminate the entrapment of air. The pouring side should be raised by means of a hopper or grout box to maintain a minimum 150mm head of grout at all larger applications FLO-GROUT 1 can be placed by means of pumping.

5 The use of a heavy-duty diaphragm pump is suitable for this contact our Technical Department for further TIMEF ollowing mixing, material should be placed within 30 minutes to gain the full benefit of the expansion exposed surfaces must be adequately cured. The use of Setseal 6 curing agent is recommended. Alternatively wet hessian or continuous fine water spray may be should be struck after 24 hours. If the air temperature has fallen below 5 C, shuttering should be left in place for at least 36 not place when the substrate temperature is below 5 C or when the ambient temperature is 5 C and falling. Protect from frost. Do not exceed the maximum recommended water content and only use clean use of warm water is recommended at low temperatures to accelerate strength development.

6 At elevated temperatures, the use of cold water is tools with water immediately after AND SAFETYR efer to the product Material Safety Data Sheets before using FLO-GROUT GUIDANCEThis data sheet is for general guidance purposes only and may contain information that is inappropriate for certain conditions of use. Accordingly, all recommendations and suggestions are made without guarantee. Further information is available from our Technical Department.
