General Tuition and fees assessed by the UNIVERSITY shall be in accordance with the General Appropriations Act and the regulations and policies of the Board of Governors.

3 B. Tuition and Fees 1. Tuition and Fee Schedule The UNIVERSITY shall assess the following tuition and fees per credit hour for each regularly enrolled student, depending on whether a student is a resident or non-resident of the State of FLORIDA , unless provided otherwise by law or in this Regulation: Undergraduate Graduate Tuition/Fee Resident Non-Resident Resident Non-Resident Tuition 1, Tuition Differential Fee Financial Aid Fee Transportation Fee Parking Decal Fee Capital Improvement Trust Fund Fee Activity and Service Fee Athletic Fee NCAA Athletic Health Fee Technology Fee Tuition Waiver FY22 ( ) ( ) Total Per Credit Hour $ $ $ $ 1, FLORIDA gulf COAST UNIVERSITY Page 2 of 10 Regulation Tuition and Fees GC582784_6 2.

4 Repeat course fee A student enrolled in the same undergraduate college credit course more than twice shall be assessed an additional $ per credit hour charge for each such course. 3. Excess hour fee a. All state UNIVERSITY undergraduate students who entered a postsecondary undergraduate program at any FLORIDA public institution of higher education for the first time in fall 2009 or thereafter and prior to fall 2011 shall pay an excess hour fee equal to 50 percent of the undergraduate tuition for each credit hour in excess of 120 percent of the number of credit hours required to complete the baccalaureate degree program in which the student is enrolled.

All state UNIVERSITY undergraduate students who entered a postsecondary undergraduate program at any FLORIDA public institution of higher education for the first time in fall 2011 and prior to fall to 2012 or thereafter shall pay an excess hour fee equal to 100 percent of the undergraduate tuition for each credit hour in excess of 115 percent of the number of credit hours required to complete the baccalaureate degree program in which the student is enrolled. c. All state UNIVERSITY undergraduate students who entered a postsecondary undergraduate program at any FLORIDA public institution of higher education for the first time in fall 2012 or thereafterthrough the 2019 spring term shall pay an excess hour fee equal to 100 percent of the undergraduate tuition for each credit hour in excess of 110 percent of the number of credit hours required to complete the baccalaureate degree program in which the student is enrolled.

6 For the 2019 summer term and thereafter, an excess hour surcharge equal to 100 percent of the tuition rate for each credit hour in excess of 120 percent shall be paid. Effective July 1, 2018 each UNIVERSITY shall refund the excess hour surcharge assessed for up to twelve (12) credit hours to any first-time-in-college student who completes a baccalaureate degree program within four (4) years after their initial enrollment in a UNIVERSITY . d. All credit hours for courses taken at the UNIVERSITY from which the student is seeking a baccalaureate degree shall be included when calculating the number of hours taken by a student, including: 1) Failed courses.

7 2) Courses dropped or withdrawn from after the UNIVERSITY s advertised last day of the drop and add period, except as provided for in section 3) Repeated courses, except repeated courses for which the student has paid the full cost of instruction as provided in this Regulation. 4) All credit hours earned at another institution and accepted for transfer by the FLORIDA gulf COAST UNIVERSITY Page 3 of 10 Regulation Tuition and Fees GC582784_6 UNIVERSITY and applied toward the student s baccalaureate degree program. e. All credit hours earned under the following circumstances shall not be calculated as hours required to earn a baccalaureate degree: 1) College credits earned through an articulated accelerated mechanism.

8 2) Credit hours earned through internship programs. 3) Credit hours required for certification, recertification, or certificate programs. 4) Credit hours in courses from which a student must withdraw due to reasons of medical or personal hardship. 5) Credit hours taken by active-duty military personnel. 6) Credit hours required to achieve a dual major taken while pursuing a baccalaureate degree. 7) Remedial and English as a Second Language credit hours. 8) Credit hours earned in military science courses that are part of the Reserve Officers Training Corps program. ) Credit hours earned or taken for the civics literacy competency requirement.

9 C. Payments on Accounts Due the UNIVERSITY Charges against a student's account for loss or breakage of UNIVERSITY equipment, lost books, library, or parking fines, and other related charges are due immediately. UNIVERSITY policy prohibits registration or release of transcript and diploma for any student whose account with the UNIVERSITY is delinquent. D. Registration Registration occurs when a student: 1. Selects one (1) or more credit courses approved and scheduled by the UNIVERSITY ; and, 2. Pays tuition and fees, partial or otherwise, or makes other appropriate arrangements for tuition payment (installment payment, deferment, or third-party billing) for the courses in which the student is enrolled as of the end of the drop/add period.

10 The UNIVERSITY does not have a plan for installment payment of fees. E. Payment FLORIDA gulf COAST UNIVERSITY Page 4 of 10 Regulation Tuition and Fees GC582784_6 Tuition and registration fees must be paid in full by the payment deadline date designated in the Academic Calendar as the "last date to pay fees" for each term. Payments shall be made at the Office of the Bursar, UNIVERSITY website, or by mail and received no later than that date. The President or designee will extend the deadline for fee payment when payment by the student is delayed due to UNIVERSITY action or inaction. F. Liability for Payment of Tuition Liability for payment of tuition is incurred at the point at which the student has completed registration.
