Flower - Origami

1 FlowerDesign & Diagrams by Anna Kastlunger(2009)This Flower was created for the Monthly Folding Challenge 08/2009 of theOrigami Forum ( ). Subject of the challengewas to create a complex known model in under 30 folds (a step can containseveral folds). The model I ve chosen is Robert J. Lang s A Miura Ken BeautyRose . I really like how fast this model can be folded and that it is lockedtogether so nicely. You can even instert a stem by opening the finished flowerup a bit and then closing it again. The stem will hold in place very good sincethe Flower has a lot of are two different ways to fold this model.

2 The first way is easier tounderstand, the second version is faster and doesn t leave unnecessary creaselines on the final 1 /21. Fold and unfold thenturn the model Fold and Collapse like on Fold one flap up, themodel will not lie Squash fold the middle Repeat on the other Turn the model Fold the right side up to the topat an right angle. The big triangleon the botton will stand up at anright angle as well. From nowon the model remains Fold the tip down tothe bottom then turnthe model 2 / 210. Fold the left side down to thebottom at an right angle.

Turn the model Fold one flap forwardto open the Valley fold to themiddle Fold the left sideback over to the rightalong the new Repeat three Turn the model Grab the middle and twist The finished folding sequence:After step three just make a little pinchmark in the middle. Then fold the sides upto that middle point like in step 13 andprecrease the valley fold shown in step use these creases to flip the modelover to arrive at step 16. Twist the middleand you are done.
