(NYSE: SF) today announced the opening of JOHNSON BENDER ASSET Management, an affiliate of Stifel s independent broker/dealer subsidiary, Century Securities Associates, Inc. JOHNSON BENDER ASSET Management was formed by James L. JOHNSON III and Albert F. BENDER III to provide customized equity and fixed income portfolio strategies for individual and institutional clients. JOHNSON BENDER currently has assets under management of more than $200 million and advises more than 100 families in 15 states.

2 After more than 20 years of passionately sharing investment ideas and valuation methodologies, Mr. JOHNSON and Mr. BENDER decided to combine their distinctly different, yet complementary, skill sets and instincts in an effort to build a lifelong investment partnership designed to help clients pursue better after-tax long-term investment returns. Mr. JOHNSON has been managing individual portfolios for his clients for more than 20 years at Stifel and leverages a number of proprietary relative value and dividend discount models to seek to uncover attractive investments. Mr. BENDER has more than 30 years of experience as an investment banker and corporate lawyer, representing rapidly growing public companies in equity financings and merger and acquisition transactions.
