2 For those who are interested in applying, please be sure to carefully read the guidebook, complete all necessary documents, and submit them by the deadline. For undergraduate students, you must check your eligibility in advance before applying for an Enrollment fee Waiver . You can contact us at (6. Inquiries) for further details. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted for any reason whatsoever. If any information given in the application is found to be false or misleading, the applicant will be declined not only the application for Enrollment fee Waiver and deferment, but also any other applications for tuition fees throughout their Enrollment at HU. 3 Applicants who wish to apply for tuition fee waivers, Application Form for Tuition Fee Waiver [Form 2] must be submitted together with the documents for Enrollment fee Waiver . Applicants who are not confident in Japanese should be aided by someone who is fluent in Japanese to complete the procedures. 1. Eligibility for applicants graduate or special course students who are recognized as having an excellent academic record and cannot pay their Enrollment fee due to financial reasons. 4 Soon after entering university: Please make a prior reservation if you are an applicant who is required it. Submit other necessary documents (Refer to 5. An interview in Japanese will be performed at the time of application. Each applicant should be prepared to explain about the information they supply. 3. Precautions *Please be sure to read the following beforehand. 1) Applications submitted after the deadline and applications by proxy or by mail will not be accepted for any reason in principle. Applicants who are unable to make an application during the acceptance period due to unavoidable reasons such as study abroad or hospitalization must contact the Student Services Group in advance of the acceptance period.

6 5) As the payment of Enrollment fees will be temporarily deferred for persons applying for exemption, applicants are asked not to pay their fees until the results are determined. Once the payment is made, the fees will not be refunded. 10 Certificate of Residence [Original] * Issued at the city hall All family members living together with you in Japan must be listed on the certificate. The entries of the certificate can be abbreviated only for Individual Number (kojin bangou) and Resident Register Code Number (juuminhyou code). It should not be older than 3 months at the time of application. Copies are not permissible for this document. However, when other family members enrolled at Hiroshima Univ. apply for a tuition fee Waiver , only 1 person has to submit the original document.
