When design or checking has been performed in Midas Gen, the member forces can be imported in Design+. Dep en d ing o n th e existence o f d esign results an d rebar in put d ata, th e d ata to be imp orted is changed. [Ap p licable member typ e: RC - Beam/ Co lumn / Sh ear Wall/ Batch Wall, Steel - Beam/ Co lumn ] 1) When design has not been performed in Midas Gen If d esig n o r checking h as n ot been p erformed in Midas Gen , d esign results d o n ot exist. In th is case, member fo rces an d rebar d ata are n o t imp o rted in Design+. It is fo r considering d esign p arameters such as Member Red istribution Factor which are n o t p ro vided in Design+. By using th e identical d esign member fo rces, th e same d esign results can be o btained between Midas Gen an d Design+.

How to design a member using the most critical member among the members with the identical section properties? Design+ provides an option to specify which member will be imported. In Lin k > Lin k Op tion men u, if Lin k Type is selected as Lin k by Section , th e most critical d esign results amo ng th e members assig ned with th e identical section p roperties are imp orted in Design+. Q Wh en Lin k Type is selected as link by Member o ption, member fo rces fo r th e selected member are imp orted in Design+. A Select Click 01. During Design/Checking of Base Plate, the program automatically find the most critical load combination among 6 different load combinations imported from Midas Gen.

9 Wh en importing a n o de fo r base p late d esign, 6 d ifferent load combinations wh ich co ntain maximum an d minimum member fo rces o f axial, major mo ment, an d min or mo ment respectively are imp orted. On ce th e load co mbinations are imported, th e d esig n fo rce sh own in th e Force filed corresponds to th e 1st lo ad combination wh ich contains maximum axial fo rce. After p erfo rm base p late d esign o r checking, th e p rogram will fin d th e mo st critical load co mbination an d th at d esign fo rces will be sh o wn in th e Fo rce field.
