1 Fort bend Independent School DistrictAustin high School2015-2016 Mission StatementThe mission of AHS is to provide an atmosphere of high expectations for all student in their pursuit of academic achievement as well as to assist each studentin the development of a positive self image, responsible citizenship, and cultural awareness in an effort to become productive, lifelong learners in evolvingglobal 1: FBISD will provide an educational system that will enable all students to reach their full Objective 1: By the spring of 2016, ELL students will show a 9% increase (51-60%) toward Performance Target for Reading as definedby the STAAR System Safeguards thereby increasing overall performance and demonstrating progress and Objective 2: In the spring of 2016, 80% or more of AHS students will perform at or above the proposed new standard progression on theEnglish 1 STAAR Objective 3: In the Spring of 2016, AHS SPED students who are ARD committee determined to take and pass an English I or English IIEOC for graduation requirements will meet the Performance Target for Reading as defined by the STAAR System Safeguards thereby increasing overallperformance and demonstrating progress and Objective 4: Utilizing the data from the AP Potential list, AHS will continue to identify and encourage students in sub pops to enroll inAP 2: FBISD will recruit, develop, and retain effective teachers and Objective 1: AHS will utilize all job fairs to assist with recruiting and filling all vacancies in a timely manner with highly 3: FBISD will provide a supportive climate and a safe learning /working Objective 1: AHS teachers/staff will increase efficiency of response times to parents/community members using 4.
