2 To help protect your privacy, Outlook prevented automatic download of this picture from the Internet. 2 URGENT: Proposition 65 Emergency BPA Regulations Dear Valued Supplier: As you may be aware, the chemical bisphenol A ( BPA ), which is found in some cans and bottles, is now on California s Proposition 65 ( Prop 65 ) list of chemicals. California recently adopted emergency regulations that specify responsibilities for food manufacturers, retailers, and others offering canned and bottled consumer goods for sale in the California marketplace. According to these new regulations, as of May 11, 2016, a Prop 65 warning will be required before a person is exposed to BPA. The text of the regulations can be found here: As a result, we at UNFI must act quickly to determine which of the products we distribute are packaged in bottles or cans that contain BPA or may contain BPA, so that we may take the necessary steps to comply with these regulations.
