2 _____ From the desk of Fr. Jim This weekend you will find the ballot for electing the three At-Large members of St. Peter Parish Council. It is at the bottom of the bulletin. You will also find the ballot for electing the Youth Representative. The ballot will appear again the next two weekends. The individuals whose names appear on the ballots have agreed to accept the position if chosen by the parish. If the name of someone you nominated does not appear on the ballot it means only one thing: they declined the opportunity. Follow the simple directions for voting and tear off the ballot and get it to us no later than June 25. Use the collection basket, the mail box on the porch of the rectory, mail, email or phone in your vote. We can only pray that the Russians will not try to influence this election.

3 PRAY FOR THE SICK AND SHUT-INS OF OUR PARISH. Remember all our parishioners who have special needs. CAUTION The new ramps and walk ways on the north side of the church are available for you to use. However, there are no railings in place for your safety. Be very careful if you use these new sidewalks. You have been duly advised and warned. 6 The Most Holy Trinity June 11, 2017 God so loved the world that he gave his only Son.~~~John 6:16a ANSWER: The liturgical color Green symbolizes hope and the vitality of the life of faith. It mirrors the season of the year with its lush greenery and growth. Ultimately it is symbolic of Christ s Resurrection. That which appeared to be dead, during the winter months, has sprung to life. Green, to a botanist, is a sign of life, even regarding weeds. LIFE IN THE TRINITY The name of the Trinity is, without a doubt, the most familiar sacred name to us. We speak it every time we make the sign of the cross, and it forms the heart of our Creed. Trinity Sunday is a good day, however, to stop and reflect on the unique role of each of the three persons we name so often in the Trinity and in our own lives.

7 When we celebrate the Eucharist on Sunday, we come together as the Body of Christ through our baptism, and through the power of the Holy Spirit we offer the whole prayer of the Mass to God the Father. This presence of the Trinity does not stop when we leave church on Sunday. We are always and everywhere members of the Body, and every thing we do as members of that Body is empowered by the Holy Spirit, all of it offered to the glory of our loving Father. Take a moment each day this week to reflect on how the persons of the Trinity were present to you during the day, and how other people came to see the presence of the Trinity in your witness to the Good News. Copyright, J. S. Paluch Co. A QUESTION OF FAITH It is never a question with any of us of faith or no faith; the question always is, In what or in whom do I put my faith?
