Branch, PresidentACCREDITATIONACCREDITATION STATEMENTC oastal Alabama Community College is a result of the consolidation of Faulkner State Community College , Alabama Southern Community Col-lege and Jefferson Davis Community College . On December 6, 2016, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Col-leges voted to approve the consolidation and acknowledge the institution s intent to seek accreditation. Each of the former institutions was accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) (1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia, 30033, Telephone number 404-679-4501) to award Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, and Associate in Applied Science Degrees and Certificates.

4 The three-fold purpose for publishing the Commission s access and contact number is to enable interested constituents (1) to learn about the accreditation status of the institution, (2) to file a third-party comment at the time of the institution s decennial review, or (3) to file a complaint against the institution for alleged non-compliance with a standard or requirement. The accreditation of Coastal Alabama Community College is anticipated at the SACSCOC December 2017 Annual Meeting. This Act, with which the institution fully complies, was designed to protect the privacy of education records, to establish the right of students to inspect and review their education records, and to provide guidelines for the correction of inaccurate or misleading data through informal and formal hearings.
