2 Main changes between VERSION and VERSION Certification protocol Introduction of unannounced audits o One of the surveillance audits shall be unannounced. Management of services o Organizations shall ensure that all services that may have an impact on food safety, are managed and assessed. Product labelling o Organization shall ensure that the finished product is labelled according to the applicable food regulations in the country of intended sale. Logo/certification mark use o Logos/certification marks may be used on websites etc. o Logos /certification marks cannot not be used on products and packaging.

5 Management of allergens (for categories C, I and K only) o A documented allergen management plan shall be in place that includes: risk assessment, control measures to reduce or eliminate the risk of cross contamination, validation and verification. o All finished products intentionally or potentially containing allergenic materials shall be labeled according regulations in the country of manufacture and country of destination. Environmental monitoring (for categories C, I and K only) o Organization shall ensure that an environmental monitoring program is in place to verify the effectiveness of cleaning and sanitation programs.
