2 Perform administrative duties such as compiling weekly & monthly progress reports of water and sanitation Provide inputs to developed tender documents and design standards of water and sanitation systems from Consulting Engineering firms on capital projects. Liaise with consultants, contractors, relevant stakeholder and members of the public. Represent municipal interest during attended site meetings Compile and present maintenance budget for water and sanitation. Undertake the supervision of staff on maintenance of water and sanitation. Supervise and assist with the construction/upgrading and maintenance of the Sewer Plant, Water Treatment Works, Bulk Water and Reticulation and Sewer Mainlines and Reticulation while controlling expenditure in line with the budget.

Respond, through collection of factual information and/or conducting the necessary investigations/research, to enquiries and concerns on service delivery from general public, councilors, government departments, developers etc. Plan and manage the execution of specific projects for the improvement, expansion and maintenance of all infrastructure related to roads and storm water Compile and submit weekly, monthly and quarterly reports via Head of Department to Management and Council.

5 Provide inputs during drafting, adjudication and reporting processes with regards to contracts/tenders and verifying details, terms and conditions, specifications in compliance with laid down policies, regulations and procedures Participate in appointment process and briefing sessions on the terms and scope of such appointment process and evaluating, investigating and approving submissions on progress, performance and costs. Monitor contractor performance against agreed terms and conditions through ongoing interaction with site personnel, onsite inspections, etc and alerting the contractor to any acts of non-conformance Implementing procedures to administer contracts and the processing of completion certificates and verifying outcomes prior to approving payment certificates Resolving technical conflict and contractual claims and prepare necessary reports for presentation to Head of Department, Management to Council Position: ARTISAN PLUMBER.

7 Signage Attend to deviations in performance or disciplinary/conflict issues and counselling personnel to correct/adjust behavior prior to applying laid down disciplinary procedures Complete internal transactional documentations such as time sheets, log sheets,job cards, productivity field report, vehicle check list, material allocation forms Perform specific tasks associated with operations of vehicles and equipment during plumbing installation, repair and maintenance Reading and interpreting drawings/works orders detailing layout and specifications Marking routes for the running in and laying of pipes and/or measures, marking and drilling plastered surfaces using hand held tools Installing valves, flow meters and/or bends, joins and diverts pipes using couplings and/or seam welding techniques Constructing support structures using bricklaying techniques and applying finishing procedures, sealing joints and seams and plastering/covering open spaces Inspecting works prior to commissioning and communicating with immediate supervisor with regards to tests, adjustments and functionality of the installation.

8 Implement planned and/or scheduled and predictive maintenance cycle and work procedures to ensure uninterrupted water reticulation system. Coordinate fault findings, detecting repairs needed in the water reticulation system Position: GRADER OPERATOR. Section: Roads and Storm Water Remuneration: Salary Level 8, R187 to R190 per annum Reference Number: 2016/32. Requirements Grade 12. At least 3 years' experience in driving Grader/Front End Loader and tipper truck Valid driver's license code C1 with PRDP.
