Any motor/vehicle/battery combinations that are not listed on this CHART are NOT recommended setups and will NOT be covered under warranty. 3 SET-UP GUIDE FOR ALL CASTLE CREATIONS 1:10 SCALE CAR AND TRUCK BRUSHLESS POWER SYSTEMSM otor GEARING is a recommended starting point ONLY. Always start with the smallest pinion and largest spur available for your application. Pinion and spur gear sizes refer to tooth count. The pinion is the small gear on the motor and the spur is the large one attached to the check your motor temperature frequently on the first run after changing the GEARING , motor or increasing battery voltage! Never let the motor get above 180 F. Use an infrared temperature gun to monitor motor the motor starts to get close to 180 reduce the pinion size, or reduce the pack WORD ABOUT BATTERIES AND CONNECTORSAs with any extremely high powered electric power system, the primary limitations to ultimate vehicle performance are the batteries and connectors.

4 Use the best batteries and connectors that you can find. The better the batteries, the more punch you ll have! Recommended capacity for 1:10 SCALE vehicles is 5000mah+. Do not use 20C continuous discharge batteries. We recommend 30C continuous discharge or higher for 1:10 SCALE vehicles (or high quality 25C batteries such as Traxxas Power Cells). Poor quality battery connectors can be a roadblock to performance. Avoid the common white plastic connectors commonly seen on many battery packs. A fast brushless setup will draw many times the power that these connectors can safely handle.
