1 GEORGIA HIGH SCHOOL ASSOCIATION . MINUTES. RECLASSIFICATION COMMITTEE. December 15, 2021. The Reclassification Committee of the GEORGIA High SCHOOL ASSOCIATION was called to order at 10:00 , on December 15, 2021, at the GHSA office in Thomaston, GEORGIA , by Glenn White, President, to hear lateral transfer appeals in classes A, 2A & 3A. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Vice President Curt Miller. The invocation was given by Associate Director Carror Wright. Roll call by Media Director Steve Figueroa showed the following: Present - 18; Absent - 1 (shown by A below). Crisp County - Withdrew appeal prior to the meeting. Bremen - Tim Huff, Principal, presented the appeal to move from Region 5-AAA to Region 6-AAA.

2 Motion by Barton, second by Drew, to approve the appeal MOTION to approve Passed 15-3 (McPherson, Miller & Littleton voted no ). Hebron Christian - Taylor Davis, Athletic Director, presented the appeal to move from Region 8-AAA to Region 7-AAA. Motion by Finch, second by Craft, to deny the appeal MOTION to deny Passed 16-0-2 (Miller & Turner abstained). Jeff Davis - Roger Metts, Athletic Director, presented the appeal to move from Region 3-AA to Region 1-AA. Motion by Waters, second by Hanson, to approve the appeal MOTION to approve Passed 16-2 (Littleton & McPherson voted no ). Landmark Christian - Mike Bedosky, Principal, presented the appeal to move from Region 5-AA to Region 6-AA. Motion by Craft, second by White, to deny the appeal MOTION to deny Passed 17-0-1 (Wiggins abstained). Montgomery County - Tim Suttles, AD, presented the appeal to move from Region 4 to Region 3 in Class A, Div. 2. Motion by Miller, second by Crews, to approve the appeal MOTION to approve Passed (unanimous).

3 Towns County - Jim Melton, AD, presented the appeal to move from Region 7 to Region 8 in Class A, Div. 2. Motion by Finch, second by Crews, to approve the appeal MOTION to approve Passed (unanimous). Early County - Craig Storey, AD, presented the request to be isolated down from Class A, Div. 1 to Class A, Div. 2. Motion by Finch, second by Brewington, to approve the appeal MOTION to approve Passed 16-2 (McPherson & Littleton voted no ). The committee then made the sub-divisions in all regions with more than 10 schools (as required in the Constitution). Motion by Craft second by Crews, to approve the sub-divisions (see listing later in these minutes). MOTION to approve Passed (unanimous). Note: Regions, by majority vote, may opt to change these sub-divisions and/or play a straight region schedule in any sports. Miller then made a motion to adjourn, Craft seconded, and it passed unanimously. The region alignments that will be submitted to the State Executive Committee for ratification at a meeting on January 10, 2022 may be found on the following pages.
