3 If the original stamp in red does not appear on each page, this document is TEM-001 Rev 0 ECSA Policy/ProcedureSCHEDULEDEFINITIONSIn this Schedule,any word or expressiondefinedin the Act has that meaning,and,unlessthe contextotherwiseindicates:BuildingProjec t and Multi-Disciplinary Projectmeansa projectcomprisingbuildingwork or multi-disciplinary work,togetherwith its associatedengineeringwork, wheretheengineeris subjectto the authority of anotherprofessionalactingas the PrincipalAgentwhile financialand administrativemattersmay bedealt wi th byanotherprofessional,and where the engineer is onlypaid a fee based on the costs of a portion of meansany juristi c person ororgan of the State engaginga consultingengineerfor or Consultant,for purposesof theserules only, meansanyprofessionalregisteredin termsof the Act,or a juristicpersonwho employssuchprofessional,engagedby a clienton a processof administering the constructioncontractand over-seeingand/orinspectingthe works,to the extentof the consultingengineer'sengagement.

4 For the purposeof verificationthat the worksare beingcompletedinaccordancewith the requirementsof the contractthat the designsare beingcorrectlyinterpretedand that appropriateconstructiontechniquesare beingutili sed. A pro- rata portionof all costs relatedto the Contractorgeneralobligationsandoverhead( preliminaryand general)items , including contractor s profit,applicableto the works (irrespectiveof who actuallycarriesoutthe works). The costsof new materials,goodsor equipment,or a fair evaluation,of suchmaterial,goodsor equipmentasifnew whethersuppliednew orotherwiseby or tothe client and includingthe cost or a fair evaluationof the cost of installation(thesourcing,inspectionand testingof such compriseadditionalservicesby the consultingengineer).

6 ElectronicEngineeringServicesmeansservic esrelatedto the provisionof electronicsystemsand detailingthe terminations,signalsand interconnectionsof electroniccomponentsas distinctfrom conventionalelectricalHV, MV and LV systemsand projectof which and/or tariff of fees means payment made to a consultantor consulting engineer in exchange for advice or servicesset out in meansthe ProfessionalServiceProviderappointedby the client to manage and administer the services of all consultantson a multi-disciplinary project, where more than one professional service provider is appointed. PREAMBLEThis Scheduleshowssets of tariffs of fees that serve as a guidelineto determiningfees to bepaid for engineering servicesthat are fair and equi table to all scheduleallowsfor four differentmethodsofremunerationnamely:per centagefee basedon the cost of worksfees for servicesthat are addi tional to those providedfor in the normalpercentagefee-based calculationTime -basedfeesReimbursable scopeof work is uncertain remunerationwill primarilybe basedon time andreimbursable location,size, character,form and functionof the workshas been definedthroughpreviousstudiesand investigationsthat have eitherformedpart ofthe client'snormalbusinesspracticesor have been the subject ofpreviousseparateappointmentspaidfor on a time and cost basis.
