We never compromise on quality and always strive for innovation and Graduate Development Programme 2017 | PAGE 2 |Our Teams What We DoH3 is a large, diverse team of capable, experienced people who work to ensure events, conferences, exhibitions, functions and performances all come together as seamlessly and successfully as possible. Here s a snapshot of what our teams DevelopmentOur dynamic Business Development team leads the promotion and sales of our services and venues including one-off special events and performances to conferences, meetings, functions and exhibitions for local, national and international clients.
5 Highly dedicated and client-focused, their role is to nurture existing relationships and grow our reputation with new clients as a leading player in the meet, compete and perform the sales and business Development effort is our creative Marketing team who oversee the communication of our brand through the Development of marketing collateral and communications to drive the successful branding and promotion of our venues, events, shows and sporting fixtures. They also provide regular updates and communication to internal and external clients about our events, performances, conferences, exhibitions and functions rests with our Operations teams. A diverse team coordinating event logistics includes Venue Managers, Events Managers, Coordinators and Duty Managers based at our venues. These teams work closely alongside Business Development and Marketing and key partners to bring events, conferences, exhibitions, functions, performances and sporting occasions to service to our clients is ably provided by our Operations team who are there to set up and pack down, while our experienced Technical Services team provide lighting, sound and production expertise for our performance and theatrical activity at our venues.
6 Looking after the grass is the job of our Turf Services team who not only produce exceptional pitches at Seddon Park and FMG Stadium Waikato that have made us the envy of other stadiums around the country, but also maintain our venues grounds in pristine condition. Business SupportDriving our business strategy is the Business Support team. This versatile team supports our system for managing clients and events as well as other key systems that span across all venues, and participates in the range of financial reporting of the business. Coordination of building and infrastructure projects is another integral role lead by Business PartnersWe work with a number of highly professional, capable partners to deliver world-class events for our clients. Symbiotic and cooperative, our relationships with Montana Catering, Vidcom, Red Badge and other providers enable us to round out our services. 7 Here s what some of our team have to say about working at H3:Melissa HughesGraduate (Marketing Coordinator)I was fortunate enough to join H3 in January 2016, shortly after completing a Communications degree through the University of Waikato. With a double major in Marketing and Public Relations and a specialisation in Events Management, I was finally ready to convert my theoretical knowledge into practical experience. Growing up in the Waikato, I was eager to kick-start my events career within this region, which is why I looked no further when I found out about the H3 Graduate past year has presented endless opportunities to grow and develop my knowledge within the event industry. The short-term rotations with each team within H3 exposed me to areas of business I never thought I would be capable of understanding. The knowledge and experience I gained while rotating the business is invaluable, and I have experienced more than I thought was possible.
8 I am now fortunate enough to be working as a Marketing Coordinator on my first six month placement, which has allowed me to settle into a role with specified responsibilities. I have thoroughly enjoyed every single aspect of the Graduate Programme so far and I m excited to see what the future MissenConference & Functions CoordinatorI joined the H3 team in April 2014 as one of H3 s first graduates. Having completed a degree in Marketing and PR at the University of Waikato, events were something I was passionate about. With very limited event opportunities for a new Graduate in Hamilton, I was thrilled to see the Graduate Programme advertised. The Programme was a real eye-opener and I ve experienced more than I could have imagined. It allowed me to participate in every part of our business, doing things I never thought I was capable of. H3 has a brilliant team of dedicated people who are always encouraging me to achieve more and be the best that I can be.
9 In March 2015 I was given the chance to finish my Graduate Programme early and take on the role of Event Administrator at Claudelands, which was an amazing experience. I was able to deliver multiple events and have since moved into the position of Conference & Functions Coordinator working across Claudelands, FMG Stadium Waikato and Seddon honestly love working for H3 and can t imagine myself anywhere else. I m so grateful to have been able to take part in the Graduate Programme and I m excited to see what I can achieve in the HolzapfelMarketing CoordinatorI came to H3 in January 2015 as the third Graduate to join the team. Having completed a degree in Communications and Marketing through the University of Waikato and Arizona State University. I found out about H3 through their website and after further investigation I realised how fantastic the Graduate Programme is. H3 gives graduates the rare opportunity to experience every single aspect of their business, from sales to event coordination to stadium operations the list goes on.
10 I ve experienced two world cups and a huge range of amazing events in which my roles and responsibilities were never the same. After successfully completing the Graduate Programme I was given the chance to take on a permanent role as Marketing Coordinator.
