Exam Preparation: Students should have information regarding cumulative activities, and exam review sheets at this point. Please encourage your students to use these last weeks of class to organize notes, work on cumulatives, and review for exams. Final Week of Classes: June 11-14. This is a critical week for students. Some courses have required cumulative activities (worth 30%) and attendance is mandatory. There is also important exam preparation happening in classes this week. We expect that class time is given high priority.
9 Exams and Study Days: June 15, 18-21. To accommodate students who have more than 4 exams, some will have exams on Fri, June 15th. Students are not required to be at school when they do not have an exam scheduled. If they do come in, they are expected to be studying quietly. Teachers may be available for some support. Exam Blocks: Exams are hrs for grade 9 and 10 (with 30 min extra if needed; max time = 2 hrs). Exams are 2 hours for grade 11 and 12 (with 30 min extra if needed; max time = hrs). Students in ESL and those with an IEP (medical or educational accommodations) may be eligible for extra time. Please contact the ASP, ESL or guidance departments for details. Absences must be covered by a doctor's note or arranged before hand with Administration. Please encourage your students to be on time for exams and to come fully prepared. Bus Transportation during Exam Week: June 15, June 18-21. Morning buses run as normal. Note, exams start at 9:30am After exams, students may stay for the afternoon and use the bus to go home, or are allowed to leave and find their own ride home.
10 Afternoon buses leave as follows: o Guelph and Cambridge buses (W4, W11, W8, W9) leave 3:15pm o K/W buses (W3, W5, W7) leave at 2:45pm o Listowel-Drayton (W2, W12) leave at 1:30 pm After Exams: An optional trip to Canada's Wonderland is planned for Friday, June 22. Details will be available in the Woodland watch and announcements. Students will need to arrange rides home after this event (~9:30 pm). Graduation is on Thursday, June 28th. Everyone is welcome to attend the ceremony at 8:00 pm here at the school.
