This inhibition of tubulin formation prevents celldivision within the plant. stomp Xtra has no post-emergence NumberCorrect Shipping NameClassSubsidiary RiskNot ApplicableNot considered aNot ApplicableNot ApplicableDangerous GoodHAZCHEM CodePoisons ScheduleEmergency GuidePackaging GroupNot Applicable5 Not ApplicableNot ApplicableFor the control of annual ryegrass and wireweed in wheat, barley andpeas and annual grasses and certain broadleaf weeds in various crops as per the DIRECTIONS FOR USE INSTRUCTIONSSTOMP Xtra HERBICIDE is a selective HERBICIDE for thecontrol of most annual grasses and certain broadleavedweeds.

stomp Xtra controls weeds by inhibiting seedlingdevelopment; it will not control established weeds. For best results, seedbeds should be free of weeds, trashand clods at the time of application. Soils containing a high percentage of organic matter canresult in poor control. It is recommended that applicationto soils containing a high percentage of organic matter(greater than 6%) be avoided. Crop injury may result ifcold, wet weather follows planting or if stomp Xtra isapplied to a poorly prepared seedbed. With the return offavourable growing conditions (warm weather), the cropwill usually recover and resume normal : prolonged periods of rainfall and/or excessivesoil moisture at or following application maydelay breakdown of stomp Xtra capsules, resulting in loss of weed , invert or roll container several times before use.

Puthalf the required volume of water in spray tank and startagitation. When using stomp Xtra alone, add STOMPXtra to partially filled tank and then add the remainder ofthe water. Mix using stomp Xtra in tank mixes with products suchas atrazine or diuron, mix these products as indicated onthe relevant label and add the stomp Xtra last, thencomplete filling of the tank. Maintain good agitation at alltimes until spraying is completed. If the spray mixture isallowed to settle, thorough agitation is essential to re-suspend the mixture before spraying is resumed. Note that when tank mixing stomp Xtra with paraquatand glyphosate herbicides, the stomp Xtra should bethoroughly mixed in the spray tank first, before adding aparaquat or glyphosate METHODG round Application: Use conventional sprayers witheither mechanical or by-pass agitation.

Flat fan nozzlesshould be used. Spray equipment should be correctlycalibrated to ensure proper application. If applying STOMPXtra in tank mix combination with atrazine or diuron, nozzlescreens must be no finer than 50 mesh. Apply therecommended quantity of stomp Xtra in 50-200 litres ofwater per hectare. Where pre-emergence surfacetreatment is used, the higher rates of water Application: Pre-plant soybeans, cotton, sunflowers, peanuts, navy beans, cow peas, mung beans, pigeon peas and post-plant, post flushed combine sownrice the recommended quantity of stomp Xtra in 25-60litres of water per hectare.

It is essential that theequipment is correctly calibrated and an even spraypattern is obtained. It is essential that markers be used and an accurate swathwidth is maintained. Do NOT apply if wind speed is greaterthan 16 km/hour. Always spray with a cross wind in accordance withrecommended flying NOT apply stomp Xtra HERBICIDE by aerial spraying ineucalypt forestry (a) stomp Xtra works best if thoroughly mixed with soileither mechanically or by irrigation or rainfall. The aimof incorporation is to produce an even band ofherbicide to intercept germinating weed seeds.(b) Post-plant pre-emergence surface applications ofSTOMP Xtra alone, or as a tank mixture, are mosteffective in controlling weeds when adequate rainfalloccurs or irrigation is applied within 7 - 10 days aftertreatment to achieve incorporation.

If no rain orirrigation is received within 7-10 days, lightmechanical incorporation is required for optimumweed control, except when used on maize, carrotsand rice.(c) Maize is tolerant to stomp Xtra either alone or inmixtures with atrazine if the seed germinates belowthe chemically treated band. Maize, carrots and riceare NOT tolerant to stomp Xtra if it is in direct contactwith the OUT OF REACH OF CHILDRENREAD SAFETY DIRECTIONS BEFORE OPENING OR USINGHERBICIDEA ctive Constituent: 455 g/L PENDIMETHALINFor the control of annual ryegrass and wireweed in wheat, barley andpeas and annual grasses and certain broadleaf weeds in various crops as per the DIRECTIONS FOR USE SEED DRESSINGSSome fungicidal seed dressings can shorten coleoptilelength and this can affect emergence particularly if seed issown too deep.

When these cereal seed dressings areused in stomp Xtra treated areas it is very important toensure there is good seed depth control and to sow justbelow (1 cm) the chemically treated band. Consult yourlocal Department of Agriculture Agronomist for CONDITIONS AT PLANTINGCrop injury may result if cold weather follows the return of favourable growing conditions (warmweather), crops usually recover and resume normalgrowth. In cereals, prolonged cold wet conditions duringgermination and emergence can result in wheat or barleycoleoptiles remaining in the treated band for an extendedperiod.

This can reduce WEEDS WARNING stomp Xtra HERBICIDE is amember of the dinitroanilinegroup of herbicides. stomp has the inhibition of tubulinformation mode of action. For weed resistancemanagement, stomp is a GROUP D HERBICIDE . Somenaturally-occurring weed biotypes resistant to stomp andother GROUP D herbicides may exist through normalgenetic variability in any weed population. The resistantindividuals can eventually dominate the weed population ifthese herbicides are used repeatedly. These resistantweeds will not be controlled by stomp or other GROUP the occurrence of resistant weeds is difficult todetect prior to use, BASF Australia Ltd accepts no liabilityfor any losses that may result from the failure of stomp tocontrol resistant compatibility of stomp Xtra has been tested withthe following herbicides:Atrazine, diuron, simazine, prometryne, fluometuron ,fluometuron plus prometryne, ametryne, paraquat, propanil, linuron, glyphosate, Ramrod Flowable andLogran.

If tank mixing, observe the directions CROPSIn the event of crop failure the soil should be cultivated toa minimum depth of 15cm to ensure any residues areevenly dispersed throughout the a maize crop fails due to weather conditions or someother reason, maize can be replanted the same yearwithout adverse effects but seeding depth must be belowthe retilled following crops may be sown after a minimuminterval of 2 months after application of stomp Xtra:Carrots, parsnips, parsley, celery, potatoes, peas, Frenchbeans, transplanted brassicas, transplanted lettuce, transplanted tomatoes, transplanted following crops may be sown after a minimuminterval of 5 months after application of stomp Xtra:Turnips, lettuce, radish, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, onions, leeks, sweetcorn, pumpkins, squash, melons, following crops may be sown after a minimuminterval of 12 months after application of stomp Xtra:Redbeet (beetroot), spinach, silverbeet, periodDo NOT allow entry into treated areas for 12 hours.

Whenprior entry is necessary, wear cotton overalls buttoned tothe neck and wrist (or equivalent clothing) and chemicalresistant gloves. Clothing must be laundered after eachday s OF CROPS, NATIVE AND OTHER NON-TARGET PLANTSDo NOT apply under meteorological conditions or fromspraying equipment which could be expected to causespray to drift onto nearby susceptible plants, adjacentcrops, crop lands or OF WILDLIFE, FISH,CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENTD angerous to fish and other aquatic NOT contaminate dams, rivers, drains or streams withchemical or used AND DISPOSALS tore in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area.
