1 61 Guide to Contamination StandardsThis guidebook is aimed at engineers, technicians and quality control personnel involved in Contamination control. Its purpose is to make available accepted and widely-used cleanliness specifi cation levels for liquid tables in this Guide allow users of using automatic portable particle counters to see the relationship between raw particle counts at various sizes and the reporting code numbers of various Contamination NOTE ON THE FIGURES USEDNote that some of the table entries are defi ned as cumulative counts ( > 6 m ) and others are defi ned as differential counts ( 6 14 m ).Instances of particle sizes given as m refer to ACFTD ( Air Cleaner Fine Test Dust) distributions.
2 Instances of particle sizes given as m(c) refer to MTD ( ISO Medium Test Dust) Standards are in counts per volume, and provide easy methods for converting particle counts into limits that are simple to interpret.
