1 Hartwick Pines State PARK Weekly Activity Program Schedule can be found at 2020 SPRING/SUMMER PROGRAMS MAY May 19th: MEMORIAL BUILDING OPENS FOR SEASON, 11am-4pm, Thursday-Monday. Tour this national historic landmark, say hello to our friendly building hosts, and browse a selection of items from our gift shop. Proceeds and donations support the rehabilitation of Hartwick Pines first visitor center. Check at the Visitor Center for a schedule of special events and programs taking place throughout the summer. May 23rd: KIRTLAND S WARBLER TOURS BEGIN Meet @ the Visitor Center.

JULY July 4th: LIVE ANIMAL SHOW: NATURE DISCOVERY WITH Jim & Carol McGrath, 7pm @ Campground Amphitheater. 3 Wood carvers, blacksmiths and other artisans demonstrate how they make their crafts; steam-powered sawmill will be operating. AUGUST August 8th: FOREST FEST, 10am-4pm. Celebrate the beauty and serenity of michigan s forests; Meet Smokey Bear, learn about michigan s forests, engage in activities and make some cool crafts. A fun-filled day for people of all ages! Enjoy a journey back to the days of the lumberjack camps with true stories, tall tales and toe-tapping songs. Bill Jamerson, musician, author and performer, presents a musical tribute to the old days of the logging camps. (In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be at the Visitor Center) August 22nd & 23rd: BLACK IRON DAYS, 10am 4pm.
