Public HEALTH - As introduced, increases the number of EMT/AEMT training centers operated by ambulance services that may be operated from 15 to 30; authorizes EMT/AEMT training centers to provide online or virtual didactic instruction to the same extent such instruction may be provided by accredited EMS education institutions.

Professions and Occupations- As introduced, allows the massage licensure board to issue a temporary license to certain persons from other states or territories;. establishes requirements for persons granted such a temporary license. - Amends TCA. Title 63, Chapter 18. 3. SB 1810 *Jackson (HB 1762 by *Gant). HEALTH Care- As introduced, permits advanced practice nurses and physician assistants who are prescribers at federally qualified HEALTH centers to arrange for chart review by and site visits with certain collaborating physicians by means of HIPAA-compliant electronic information systems. - Amends TCA Title 63, Chapter 19 and Title 63, Chapter 7.

3 4. SB 1859 *Massey, Crowe (HB 1999 by *Jernigan). Pharmacy, Pharmacists- As introduced, enacts the "Accessible Prescription Labels Act.". - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 53 and Title 63. 5. SB 1940 *Powers (HB 1976 by *Johnson C, Gant, Marsh, Hicks G, Crawford). Medical Occupations- As introduced, exempts a veteran of the United States armed forces who was trained and certified as a medic or corpsman from the initial licensure fees of the emergency medical services board. - Amends TCA Title 68, Chapter 140. 6. SB 2043 *Yarbro, Akbari (HB 2565 by *Hakeem, Hardaway, Thompson, Clemmons, Ramsey). HEALTH , Dept. of- As introduced, requires the department to develop a plan for providing remote use of the special supplemental food program for women, infants, and children at a substantially similar level as has been available during CALENDAR years 2020 and 2021 and deliver the plan to the HEALTH and WELFARE COMMITTEE of the senate and the HEALTH COMMITTEE of the house of representatives by December 15, 2022.

Hospitals and HEALTH Care Facilities- As introduced, enacts the "Patient Right to an Advocate Act." - Amends TCA Title 8; Title 14; Title 29; Title 33; Title 34; Title 56;. Title 63; Title 68 and Title 71. 8. SB 2356 *Walley (HB 2207 by *Hicks T). Psychologists- As introduced, increases from three to four, the number of votes needed by members of the board of examiners in psychology to confirm that a person has passed the examination for a license or certificate to practice psychology. - Amends TCA Title 63, Chapter 11. 9. SB 1966 *Jackson (HB 1981 by *Marsh, Jernigan, Campbell S, Hicks T, Gant, Johnson C, Kumar, Terry).

5 Medical Occupations- As introduced, creates new categories of emergency first responders to assist EMTs in responding to emergencies, driving ambulances, and engaging in limited medical interventions; requires such persons to become licensed EMTs within a certain period of time. - Amends TCA Title 55 and Title 68. 10. SB 2289 *Bell (HB 2348 by *Howell, Ragan, Lamberth, Ramsey, Gant, Hall, Sherrell, Smith). HEALTH Care- As introduced, clarifies that an ambulance service that holds a valid and unencumbered license to operate in at least one county is not required to maintain a separate license or establish a base of operations in a county for which the ambulance service is not licensed in order to provide a secondary mental HEALTH transport to, from, or through that county.

6 - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 33 and Title 68. 11. SB 2058 *Bowling (HB 2080 by *Sexton J). Anatomical Gifts- As introduced, requires a procurement organization or hospital contacting an individual following the death of the decedent for purposes of allowing the individual to make an anatomical gift to explain to the individual that the individual can designate the decedent's whole body or a part, and the process of making an anatomical gift and the condition the decedent's body will be in after the completion of the process. - Amends TCA Title 68. 12. SB 2446 *Haile (HB 2131 by *Marsh, Ramsey, Terry). Pharmacy, Pharmacists- As introduced, permits a pharmacy technician to perform tasks delegated by the pharmacist, including participation in drug, dietary supplement and device selection, storage, distribution and administration, if the delegated tasks are consistent with the pharmacy technician's education, training, and experience.

Title 8; Title 9; Title 14; Title 33; Title 63 and Title 68. 14. SB 1197 *Bowling, White (HB 1137 by *Grills, Griffey, Ogles, Curcio, Bricken, Leatherwood, Cochran, Moody, Cepicky, Carr, Todd, Hurt, Lynn, Littleton, Haston, Faison, Towns, Warner, Smith, Eldridge, Terry). Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA)- As introduced, prohibits the state, a political subdivision, or a public official from prohibiting or imposing additional restrictions on the lawful operations of a church or religious organization during a state of emergency, major disaster, or natural disaster; restricts a county HEALTH officer from issuing an order closing or limiting the operations of a church or religious organization.

HEALTH Care- As introduced, establishes a respite care pilot program for caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer's and related dementia. - Amends TCA Title 4 and Title 71. 16. SB 1885 *Reeves (HB 1924 by *Johnson C). TennCare- As introduced, extends the nursing home annual assessment fee to June 30, 2023. - Amends TCA Title 71, Chapter 5, Part 10. 17. TennCare- As introduced, requires the bureau to implement an electronic system that permits nursing facility providers to track the status of medicare crossover claims;. establishes a process for a nursing facility to appeal the denial of such claim. - Amends TCA Title 68 and Title 71, Chapter 5.
