Drill to asufficient depth to accommodate theinsert length and the bolt or screwbeing the hole using the Heli-Coil tapsupplied in the kit. Check the size onthe shank of the tap to be sure it is theright the hole to sufficient depth to ac-commodate the insert length and boltor Screw being the appropriate length insertfrom the kit.
7 Use the installation toolsupplied in the kit or set. Wind the in-sert into the hole until the top coil is1/4 to 1/2 turn below the top REMOVALR emove the tang by using the tangbreak-off rod (when supplied with thekit) or a punch which fits the inside ofthe insert. Place the punch or rodsquarely on the tang and insert over 1/2 inch, 12mm, or forspark plug inserts, use long nosepliers. Holding the tang with thepliers, bend it alternately in and outuntil it comes : For Spark Plug repairs, NO drill-ing is necessary.
