4 On trains that stop at Jamaica, tickets are inspected both before and after the Jamaica stop. Quiet Cars are available on weekday AM Peak (FIRST CAR) and PM Peak (LAST CAR) single-level electric trains to/from Penn Station and Atlantic Terminal. Customers should disable the sound on electronic devices; use headphones at a low volume; speak in a subdued voice; refrain from talking on cell phones. Quiet Car is the registered service mark of the National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak) and is being used by LIRR trains have restrooms in every other car.
