2 2) Candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe Category are required to apply afresh, however, they are not required to submit examination fees again, if they have already paid the examination fees while applying pursuant to Advertisement no. 02/S & A Cell/2018 dated 15/05/2018. One- Vacancy and Pay Scale :- In continuation of the earlier advertisement & A Cell/ 2018 dated 15/05/2018 applications are invited for the post of District Judge (Entry Level) in Chhattisgarh Higher Judicial Service, in the pay scale of Rs. 51550-1230-58930-1380-63070 (New interim pay scale :- in the 13-A pay matrix and pay level of Rs.

3 131100-216600) in the cadre of Higher Judicial Service by direct recruitment from Bar. Recruitment to these posts and conditions of service shall be governed by the Chhattisgarh Higher Judicial Service (Recruitment and Conditions of Service), Rules 2006, as on the last date of submission of application forms. Two- Eligibility :- (a) No person shall be eligible for appointment by direct recruitment unless, he or she.

4 (i) is a citizen of India, (ii) has attained the age of 35 years and has not attained the age of 45. years on the first day of January in the year in which applications for appointment are invited 01/01/2018, provided that upper age limit shall be relaxed upto a maximum limit of 3 years for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes;. (iii) Possess a degree in law of a university established or incorporated by or under a central Act or a State Act or an institution recognized by the or any other equivalent qualification.

5 (iv) has for at least seven years been an advocate as on 01/01/2018. In other words, the applicant must be practicing as on as an Advocate and must have so practiced for a period of not less than seven year as on such date. (v) has good character and is of sound mind and body and free from any bodily and mental disability which renders him unfit for such appointment. 2. (b) A person shall be disqualified for appointment by direct recruitment, if, he or she . (i) has more than one spouse living, (ii) has been dismissed or removed from service by any high COURT , Government, Statutory Authority or Local Authority.

6 (iii) has been convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude or has been permanently debarred or disqualified by any high COURT or Union Public Service Commission or any State Public Service Commission or any Services Selection Board or Staff Selection Commission constituted under statutory provisions by the Government;. (iv) has been found guilty of professional misconduct under the provisions of the Advocates Act, 1961 or any other law for the time being in force. NOTE:- (i) The post reserved for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe are reserved only for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe who are the bonafide residents of Chhattisgarh State.

7 The applicants, who are bonafide residents of other states and recognized as Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes in their own states will be considered only against the unreserved posts. (ii) The candidates belonging to OBC category must not come under creamy layer. Three - Application form & testimonials : (a) Interested candidates must submit their applications in the format available on the website along with duly attested certificates / testimonials relating to their date of birth, caste, qualification, domicile, experience standing at the Bar etc.

8 (b) All the Prosecuting Officers / Law Officers who are being treated as Advocates as per the judgment of the Supreme COURT (in Civil Appeal No. 561 of 2013 Deepak Agarwal Vs Keshav Kaushik and Others) shall have to produce No Objection Certificate as and when called for. (c) The applicant shall furnish a certificate from the Registrar General / Registrar of the high Courts / Secretary General of the Supreme COURT or Principal District & Sessions Judge concerned, bearing legible seal with date, month & year of its issuance regarding his / her practice as an Advocate as per format annexed.

9 3. Four - Examination Fees ( Non Refundable ). (a) Rs. 700/- for the candidates who are bonafide residents of Chhattisgarh state belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe or Other Backward Classes as notified for the State of Chhattisgarh. (b) Rs. 1000/- for all the candidates belonging to Unreserved Category and for all the candidates who are not the residents of Chhattisgarh state irrespective of their categories. Examination Fee is to be deposited only in the form of Challan with SBI branches through Core Banking Network all over India. Therefore, original copy of Challan must be attached to application form.

10 Challan form is available along with application form on our website Most important- (i) Fee in the form of Cash, Money Order, Bank Draft or Cheque shall not be accepted in any case and such applications shall be rejected for want of adequate fee. (ii) Before sending the challan, the candidates must ensure and be satisfied that there is no default. In case the challan is found defective or incomplete, the application shall be treated as rejected. Note- (a) Fee shall not be refunded in any case. (b) In case of receipt of application after expiry of the last date or in case of rejection of the application the fee shall not be refunded.
