4 The R&D-center opened in 2009 enables on 1200 m2 a detailed characterisation of the ULTRALUBE wax additives itself as well as a determination of the surface properties of a coating in-fl uenced by their usage. 5 The current production capacity of the plant is at approx. 165 t of water based wax additives per im Jahr 1988 gegr ndete und seit 1996 in Kirchberg imHunsr ck ans ssige Unternehmen hat sich bereits fr hzeitig auf die Entwicklung und Produktion wasserbasierter ULTRALUBE wachsadditive spezialisiert, mit deren Hilfe eine Verbesserung bzw. Modifi zierung der Oberfl cheneigenschaften von w ss-rigen Beschichtungssystemen wie Druckfarben, Lacken, Lasuren, Klebstoffen und Pfl egemitteln erzielt im Jahr 2009 er ffnete und mit modernsten Mess- und Pr fmitteln ausgestattete F&E-Zentrum erm glicht auf einer Grundfl che von m2 eine eingehende Charakterisierung der ULTRALUBE - wachsadditive sowie eine Bestimmung der durch den Einsatz dieser wachsadditive modifi zierten Ober-fl cheneigenschaften.

8 EmulsionenDie in ULTRALUBE Wachsemulsionen enthaltenen Wachsteil-chen weisen eine sph rische Gestalt mit einer engen Teilchen-gr enverteilung auf, wobei deren Durchmesser, abh ngig von der jeweiligen Wachsemulsion, zwischen 0,01 m und 0,5 m Teilchengr e der Wachspartikel wird bei der Herstellungder ULTRALUBE Wachsemulsionen durch die verwendeten Emul-gatoren, Verseifungsmittel sowie Prozessparameter des hnlichen Herstellungsverfahrens besitzen die in ULTRALUBE Mikrodispersionen enthaltenen Wachspartikel ebenso wie die Partikel in ULTRALUBE Wachsemulsionen eine sph rische Gestalt bei einer sehr geringen Teilchen-gr Teilchendurchmesser liegt hierbei jedoch zwischen 0,5 m und 3 m, abh ngig von der jeweiligen in ULTRALUBE Wachsdispersionen enthaltenen Wachs-partikel unterscheiden sich herstellungsbedingt von den in ULTRALUBE Mikrodispersionen sowie ULTRALUBE Emulsionen enthaltenen Teilchen durch deren Form.
