1 CLOSEDB alanced Poppet is springloaded against the seat. Whenfull upstream PRESSURE isapplied, a slightly unbalancedforce is developed whichenhances downstream processdemands flow, the pressureacting on the piston decays, allowing the adjusting springforce to push the piston unseats the poppet, allowing flow to begin andpressure under the piston toincrease until balance isachieved between adjusting spring force and downstreampressure. This condition continues until process demandceases. At this point, increasing PRESSURE overcomes springforce, moving the piston up, allowing the poppet to the downstream pressureshould increase beyondregulation set point, or handleis backed off to decreaseregulated PRESSURE level, downstream PRESSURE will ventthrough the piston and guide tothe vent port. The pressureload from the pistonovercomes the set spring loadand moves the piston upward.

2 The poppet is thereby unseatedto allow venting flow. As PRESSURE decreases under the pistonthe reverse action occurs and the vent seat is closed It WorksHIGH PRESSURESELF-VENTINGPRESSURE REGULATORC ertified to ISO 9001 Features Balanced Poppet Design self -Relieving Captured Vent Low Operating TorqueApplications high PRESSURE Testing Purging & Charging Research Laboratories Chemical/Petroleum Plants Manufacturing ProcessesTechnical DataMaterials of ConstructionBody Brass, 303 or 316 Stainless SteelSeats Kel F or Vespel Seals Buna N, Ethylene Propylene,Neoprene or Viton Port Sizes & Connections1/4 , 1/2 NPT; 1/2 Male Tube; or1/2 British Parallel PipePressure RatingsInlet CRES to 10,000 PSIG (690 BAR)Brass to 6,000 PSIG (414 BAR)Outlet 40 to 10,000 PSIG ( to 690 BAR)LeakageWeightBubble Tight (Air)8 RangeFlow Capacity-40 F to +165 F;Cv = C to +68 CESOD = PR50 SERIESINLET & OUTLET to 10,000 PSIG Fred C.

No modification is required to convert from gas service to liq-uid. Seals and seats are available for nearly all liquids or gases.
