FUTURE WORSHIP SERVICESJune 24 Marriage Recognition WORSHIP Are you Creative?Synod AssemblyFriday, May 4 and Saturday, May 5, Bob Gamble, Teri Lanan, Cindy Weiss, Tanner Wildasin, Julie Kinzel, Pastor Lutz, Pastor Glod, and Deacon Matthias-Long along with over 500 other Lutherans young and old, attended the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod Assembly. It was especially spirit filled as the theme, Come Holy Spirit was our mantra and helped us elect the first African American female Bishop, the Reverend Patricia Davenport. One really doesn t know what to expect being asked to attend the synod assembly. Like any large group meeting, there s business to tend to, budgets to review, nominations to the synod council and various committees. What is remarkable is the work that is being done here in this part of PA, across the country and world by the ELCA and by so many who wish to live into Jesus word to serve and treat everyone as the person they are; not judging by skin color, sexual orientation, gender or anything else that divides people.

5 Attending two days like this and seeing people come together to worship and celebrate the work of God is refreshing. Please ask us about our time at the Synod Assembly. We each have our own spirit filled memory to share. Demystifying Worship came out of a desire to more fully communicate about things related to worship. Questions some of which have come up in schedule change forums include: What do the terms traditional and contemporary mean in worship? How are hymns chosen? How should applause be handled in worship? What feeds you in worship? If you have wondered about something in worship and you d like to understand it more fully, please submit a question to month s question: Why should children worship together with the whole community? To see information about this topic, go to ProjectOur sanctuary organ is in need of some TLC as many of its pipes are collapsing.

6 The collapse is a result of metal that is too soft, something that can be traced back to - but not resolved through - the original pipe builder. Facade pipes were removed Saturday, May 19 because of safety concerns. Once the full scope of the pipe replacement project is understood and the funding is in place, new replacement pipes will be ordered. If you would like to help us replace facade and additional pipes, please consider a donation to the organ FORMATION Learning for all agesVACATION BIBLE SCHOOLSave the date for Vacation Bible School at Trinity: July 9 July 13!! 9:00 am to 12:00 pm The theme this year is Shipwrecked Rescued by TODAY on our website! It takes a lot of people to make VBS successful.
