1 HOW TO ACCESS JACOBSCONNECTThis document is for Jacobs Employees who require ACCESS to JACOBSCONNECT and are having trouble receiving ACCESS . It outlines multiple reasons for lack of ACCESS to JACOBSCONNECT . Please review the scenarios below and follow the instructions that apply to have never successfully accessed JACOBSCONNECT :This is the most common issue for people who are on the Jacobs network but cannot ACCESS JACOBSCONNECT . If you are running into this issue you can have a ticket created by navigating to and selecting the Software > JACOBSCONNECT category.

2 You can also call your local IT support and have them assign a ticket to the JACOBSCONNECT support , this occurs when you have not been added to the Active Directory (AD) group because a hiring process had been missed. You can usually tell that you are not part of the AD group if you are getting a Single Sign On (SSO) error when you try to connect. Once you have been given ACCESS rights, it can take up to a day for you to gain ACCESS to JACOBSCONNECT . JACOBSCONNECT syncs with Active Directory once daily at 8 am Pacifi c Time. If you are added before the sync, you will have same day ACCESS .

3 If you are added after the sync, you won t gain ACCESS until the following will not load even though I have successfully logged in before:This can be due any number of reasons, but the primary ones are:1. You are using a browser other than Google Chrome. We recommend that you do not use Internet Explorer to load JACOBSCONNECT , as Google Chrome has proven to be far more reliable in every aspect. Internet Explorer could be slowing down or even keeping you from connecting to The internet could be down in your area. Make sure you have a stable connection before attempting to connect to JACOBSCONNECT could be undergoing maintenance which could be preventing you from connecting.

4 You will know for sure that this is happening if you go to the site and it loads the Site currently unavailable, JACOBSCONNECT is undergoing maintenance network fi rewall is blocking ACCESS :If you typically have ACCESS to JACOBSCONNECT and are having trouble accessing the site, this may be due to a fi rewall issue. Assign the policy to the desired groupIf a different fi rewall is in place, the steps for Symantec and McAfee should still be applicable. Usually the settings section where you will make the change is located under a Policies button in the Antivirus console or menu.
