The ballvalve has a bronze body with 316 stainlesssteel ball and stem, or is of all stainless steelconstruction. Valve seats are glass-reinforcedTFE. Inlet and outlet threads are female NPTand flanges are ANSI Class 150. All valves arerated 600 psi WOG. Stainless steel flangedvalves are rated 285 psi Hydraulic actuator is mounted directly tothe ball Valve using a mounting bracket. Thehousing of the actuator has a corrosionresistant exterior with a two-part epoxy coatingproviding extra protection against aggressiveenvironments. The interior has a long life epoxyor of PTFE finish protecting all body partsagainst wear and corrosion.

2 The hydraulicactuator is equipped with a visual valveposition indicator and has the capability formanual override using a free handle, securedto the Valve body with a length of chain. Waterto drive the Valve open is fed to the hydraulicactuator through -inch to 1/2-inch pipe ortubing. A connection from the sprinkler systemis usually made from a normally unpressurizedport, such as the water motor alarm line on thealarm or deluge Valve to power the hydraulicactuator. The water inlet to the hydraulicactuator is provided with a Y strainer andshut-off Valve to allow depressurizing andresetting of the Valve after use. In the eventelectric operation is required or preferred, asolenoid release is installed in the water supplyline to the actuator, which will, on systemactuation, allow water to flow into the actuatorbody and open the Chemguard Hydraulic Concentrate controlvalve is designed for use with either a bladdertank or a balanced pressure proportioningsystem.

3 The Valve is used to automatically openthe line supplying foam Concentrate to a ratiocontroller.
