(780-986-9631)Email: Webmaster:Aaron The PresidentThe world s sporting spectacle, theOlympics, have come and gone (I hopeyour country of allegiance did youproud) but my sporting world is justgetting around to its busiest time, theNFL. This is the time of the year thatmy work hours steal away my bulletroom time, but it s all cyclical and therewards of my work usually supportsmy silly hobby! The ECRA show is upon us and Ijealously wish our European compadresthe best of a show.

8 My career choicehas always precluded me from thattravel freedom. I hope for some won-derful pictures (color!) to grace a com-ing Journal s pages and maybe a west-ern traveler will bring a few treasuresback to my side of the pond!Color? How nice is the additionalcolor throughout the Journal ? It getsbetter each issue and will continue toas YOU provide color photos to ChrisPunnett to further prove the IAA Jour-nal as the gold standard of cartridgecollecting publications. I would be re-miss not to appeal for any, and all ar-ticles, (long, short and in-between), thatChris can expertly assist you in IAA is doing well.

9 Our IAAtax status has been a bane for our ap-pointed Treasurer Lew Curtis as he goesthrough the arduous task of fulfilling thesteps to re-establish our IRS tax exemptstatus (we inadvertently let it expire). As we get up to speed with the stipula-tions of our (hopefully) re-granted taxexempt status we could face some re-quired financial/operational changes,(such as limits of profits beyond a setpoint). This could force some SLICSIAA auction changes (I have fieldedsome calls) and I can only stay tuned as Lew and Uncle Sam come to anunderstanding.

10 If Lew could have redi-rected his time and effort he has spenton this endeavor, he could have addedchapters to a cartridge book or designedthe mother of all cartridge Lew, it will not be the last timewe say is a rare Journal that does notmention the passing of one of our IAAB rethren. Losing the iconic Otto Wittwas sad news but there was a bright spotshone on it by another iconic member,John Moss, when he made a donationin Otto s name to the IAA. Thanks beto you Mr. had a fleeting thought the otherday while mowing the lawn.
