1 CB Communiqu 2018-004 Page 1 of 1 June 2018 IATF Oversight Certification Body Communiqu CB COMMUNIQUE # 2018-004 ISSUE DATE: June 2018 SUBJECT: Release of updated IATF 16949:2016 Sanctioned Interpretations and Frequently Asked Questions The purpose of this CB Communiqu is to advise all IATF-recognized certification bodies, suppliers, and other key stakeholders that the IATF has approved the release of updated IATF 16949:2016 Sanctioned Interpretations (SIs) and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). The approved Sanctioned Interpretations (revised SI 8, revised SI 10, and new SIs 12-13) are related to , , , and The approved Frequently Asked Questions (new FAQs 21-22) are related to and Sanctioned Interpretations alter the existing published requirements of the IATF 16949:2016 standard. Frequently Asked Questions clarify an existing requirement; no change is made to IATF 16949:2016 as a result of an FAQ.
