We recommend this one time setup by all clients for using ICE WebStart Applications. Before following the steps please ensure that you have installed ICE WebStart successfully on your machine. Select your browser to setup auto-launch for .icews launch files: Internet Explorer .. 3 For Chrome .. 4 Mozilla Firefox .. 5 3 | P a g e Internet Explorer Step 1: Click Save Step 2: Click View Downloads Step 3: Right click on file: Uncheck Always ask before opening this type of file.
2 Step 4: After this setup, IE browser will auto-launch .icews files and open application without requiring any additional clicks. 4 | P a g e For Chrome Step 1: Once the application it downloaded and visible in the bottom right, select the arrow pointing up, and select Always open files of this type Step 2: After this setup, Chrome browser will auto-launch .icews files and open application without requiring any additional clicks. 5 | P a g e Mozilla Firefox Step 1: First time downloading launch the file from the downloads (in the top right of the browser). The below box will appear. Check off the box that says Do this automatically for files like this from now on Step 2: After this setup, Firefox browser will auto-launch .icews files and open application without requiring any additional clicks.
