2 Position Title: Behaviour Change Communication Officer Duty Station: Grand Gedeh County with travel to other project locations Duration: Full Time Reports to: Head of Programmes Position summary The behavior change communication officer will lead programming to promote the awareness, materials and activities supporting the prevention of gender-based violence (SGBV) in the target communities. The behavior change communication officer will also lead community- based approaches to mobilize communities, develop appropriate communications strategies, and engender measureable behavior changes among the program s target groups. Key responsibilities.

3 Support team to strengthen medica Liberia s efforts and behavior change communication campaigns addressing gender-based violence issues Work with local stakeholders (Community based organizations, partner organizations, local, regional and national officials) to coordinate cohesive and integrated behavior change communication strategies, reinforcing these partners capacities to plan, develop and implement high-quality BCC campaigns Coordinate closely with the medica Liberia team to shape strategies according to lessons learned from trends analyses and program evaluations Build capacity of team and local partners to lead participatory behavior change communication processes, including problem and barrier analyses and field testing of Information Education Communication (IEC) materials.

4 Develop and apply behavior change communication frameworks approaches, messages, materials, and activities as needed to implement advocacy, interpersonal communication, community mobilization, and other relevant program activities Ensure that branding is included on all behavior change materials and is compliant with respective institutional regulations and guidelines Contribute substantively to program interim and final reports as required by donor and maintain regular communication Participate fully and regularly in programmatic and strategic planning meetings Relevant Qualification/Experience University degree in communications At least 3-5 years of progressive professional experience.

Position Title: Community Advocate Duty Station: Grand Gedeh County Duration: Full Time Reports to: Head of Programmes Position summary Provide legal advice and awareness on women and girls rights and on protection issues; support the county level S/GBV Task Forces in their role to address S/GBV cases and reinforce the referral mechanism for survivors of S/GBV.

6 Facilitate legal education and training among key stakeholders, communities and mL staff. Key Responsibilities A.) Legal Education-Protection Provide regular training to mL personnel, SGBV Support groups, traditional leaders and relevant collaborators (Task Force members, Protection Core Network) on simplified Liberian law. Keep updated and accurate on legal awareness on all national laws on women s rights, the rape law or inheritance as well as relevant international laws Train and supervise District Counselors on how to liaise with police officers, court officials and other relevant district officials for information and networking Build the capacity of police officers to promptly and fairly investigate, report and keep record of all S/GBV incidents and rape cases in accordance with confidentiality standards, and support efforts for the gradual elimination of compromised cases B.

7 SGBV Case management Provide on-call support to District Counselors and Support Groups for emergency legal counselling as required. Prepare and follow up on sexual and gender-based violence cases that require legal defence and liaise with the project manager to forward, refer these incidents to relevant institutions for advocacy Respond to and follow up on all legal cases referred internally by other mL sections during the weekly coordination meetings and through the Support Groups and District Counselors reports C.) Planning and Reporting: Prepare and submit weekly, monthly work plans to supervisor Ensure the documentation of legal cases within mL case monitoring system Prepare regular operational reports in keeping with reporting schedule Participate and contribute to weekly mL internal planning meetings Qualification & Experience Holds a university degree/diploma in Sociology or any social sciences from a recognized university Have at least two years working experience in NGO or INGO Knowledge and experience in S/GBV, protection or relevant field.

Position Title: Psychosocial Counsellor Duty Station: Monrovia Duration: Full Time Reports to: Project Officer Position summary Support the Community Outreach Workers, District Counsellors , SGBV support groups in strengthening mL SGBV protection activities and networks.

9 The Psychosocial Counsellor will also facilitate effective SGBV case referrals of survivors both internally and externally in consultation with the supervisor. She will also sensitize population in key topics as directed by supervisor. Liaise with stakeholders on community and county level. Key responsibility Strengthen and maintain the SGBV-protection network within the assigned districts of the county Visit and support community outreach workers and SGBV support groups on a weekly basis Liaise and coordination of work through weekly district based visits to police station, health centres, schools, elders, etc. for collecting data, S/GBV case management or conduct sensitization activities with community outreach workers Provide supportive counseling to survivors of S/GBV.

10 Advise and refer them for available mL counseling, medical, legal and protection services as appropriate. Ensure systematic reporting from community outreach workers and all women s groups to mL for weekly data compilation and to ensure case-follow up by Senior Counselors. Liaise with and seek advice from reproductive health trainer on different aspects of cases and sensitization issues. Prepare weekly operational reports Supports community outreach workers in their weekly reporting and relay their reports to mL senior staff. Prepare and submit weekly, monthly work plans to the supervisors. Qualification & Experience Holds a university degree in sociology, or social science from a recognized university Have at least two years working experience in NGO or INGO or a large organization Knowledge and experience in psychosocial counseling.
