1 Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy is seeking a colleague to join our faculty as a Director of the Muslim Philanthropy Initiative and Assistant Professor of Philanthropic Studies. The position would begin July 1, 2019 and it is a 12-month tenure track eligible position. Located on the campus of Indiana University -Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy builds on the strength of Indiana University s Center on Philanthropy . For 30 years, the Center and now the School has been a leading institution in the world of philanthropic studies. In 2012, the Trustees of Indiana University created the nation s first School of Philanthropy . Duties of the Director of the Muslim Philanthropy Initiative (MPI) and Assistant Professor of Philanthropic Studies will include, research, teaching, leadership, and service to the school and campus. A is required but the disciplinary field is open and may be in philanthropic studies, nonprofit management, religious studies, anthropology, economics, history, political science, public policy, sociology, or other related fields.

2 Teaching and research experience in philanthropic studies (broadly defined) or related areas of interest is strongly desired. The faculty of the school will look for an excellent scholar, who will thrive in our collegial community, engage in the building the field of philanthropic studies, and demonstrate an interest in engaging current and future practitioners.
