The nature ofthe engineered yarns and weave types, provide excellentstrength, resulting in a physically resilient material wellsuited to high temperature industrial 2000 Textile contains 20% organic carriers thatburn out at approximately 750 F (400 C)causing somesmoking and out-gassing.

2 Additionally, a fiberglass contin-uous filament is contained in the yarn for improved hand-bility during installation and lower temperatures. Thismaterial will degrade at 1200 F (649 ).Kao-Tex textiles exhibit excellent chemical stability resist-ing attack from most corrosive agents. Exceptions arehydrofluoric and phosphorous acids and concentratedalkalies. Kao-Tex textiles also resist oxidation and 2000 Cloth, Tape and SleevingKao-Tex textiles are noted for their superior insulating abil-ity, and resistance to thermal shock corrosive attack orbreakdown due to mechanical vibration and stress. Foradditional tensile strength, the material is available withinconel wire inserts.

3 Typical applications for the cloths,tapes and sleeving include gaskets, seals, furnace andwelding curtains or pipe 2000 RopeAvailable in Twisted, High Density, Square and RoundBraid styles. They are made of dense, resilient ceramicfiber yarn reinforced with carrier material for addedstrength. This makes them excellent candidates for hightemperature seals and gaskets. Ropes are easy to handleand can be cut, wrapped, rolled or placed around sharpcorners. Kao-Tex 2000 Ropes can be enclosed in hightemperature alloy mesh or other Kao-Tex textiles for longerservice life. Typical applications are expansion joint pack-ing, seals and of Conformance are available upon Ceramics P.
